it's stopped here about half eleven, after a massive last downpour for a couple of hours ......... never seen/heard me drains going with such force in the 10+ years we've been here ...... has been some downpours

Did that last time but it’s a fair tree and actually beyond the reach of our 13 tonner currently plus I’d have to track it 1/2 mile down the hill. Luckily yard is +200m up said hill

Don't know how much it rained at the job but the level rose a good 600mm+. Had a a hour or so at my house of heavy stuff

Yeah the boat has a little wooden platform that it's tied to, which is submerged by a fair amount must be best part of a metre to where the water line was when we started the job, the little line of grass is where the bank of the river originally was. Home owner reckons when it gets real bad the water is a foot higher than the road.

had a quite pleasant afternoon, aside from the wind and it being about 3C .... lashed it down again for a couple of hours as it was getting dark... deffo not forecast ... 'sposed to be nice 'til Monday .... get the car done hopefully ready for Monday's snow

Missed this thread. I was up a scaffold this week waterproofs on Wednesday and managed to take a snowball together and throw it at my mate Friday. Hit him too.
Has York had any flooding? That pub on the river is brilliant.

What you can’t see is the two large fishing pits both sides of the road that have joined together over the road so a bit of water to shift

Yes the king's arms is underwater as usual last I heard it was upto the lowther but I've not been to see it myself

Is there not a watercourse it could be pumped into? Surely there must be some sort of overflow from the pits?

Well in the last picture I’m stood on a canal bridge that has an overflow about a mile along it into the river weaver but down stream from Northwich, so I would of just chucked a big old pump in and let it run
