I am loving this kids education. Can I bring one of my old land rovers up for the next project??

My brother did exactly this with his son, my nephew Chris, when he was 16. They bought an old Series 3. Swapped out the chassis for a nice new galvanised one and a new bulkhead etc and started the rebuildI am loving this kids education. Can I bring one of my old land rovers up for the next project??
Agree with that - any project for young enthusiast people needs to be achievableWe don’t want to see him put off already![]()
I had one of these trailers once was a good trailer but it split up both sides like the red marks in the pic. Quite surprised really but did seem quite a weak spot where the drawbar joins the crossmember- too much flex in the design I thinkSomething worth doing when you are this far is adding some strengtheners in front to back like this.

Its a big help with wheeled machines and helps to save the floor as the weight doesn’t fall between the chimes.
Yes I’ve told him that and he has two of that vintageAs well as the Land Rover That old Range Rover would make strong money now too!
Thanks for this advice. I’ll have a good check at those points while it’s stripped downI had one of these trailers once was a good trailer but it split up both sides like the red marks in the pic. That can happen if the loading ramps don’t have a propstand that rests on the floor during loading.I had one of these trailers once was a good trailer but it split up both sides like the red marks in the pic. if the VM in that is a runner, be worth as much as the RRAs well as the Land Rover That old Range Rover would make strong money now too!
Yep Gra, I thought that you'd eventually spot the old VM powered RRif the VM in that is a runner, be worth as much as the RR
