I worked the whole thing, surrounded by new arrivals from eastern Europe to work at a large farm didn't catch COVID once but second you got nothing for catching it and staying home feet up recovering I get it

Literally had a lads holiday booked that week, machines all went in for service, so hired aload in and got a muck shift done instead and afew of the lads jumped in on dumpers

Vicki and Chris were abroad somewhere nice .. can't recall where, but I can remember they were swimming with dolphins, where ever it was - might've been Thailand-ish or PNG, but they couldn't get home for a week and yes - lovely clear, quiet skies.

So a couple of things, 1 there are different schemes the SFS and SFI are different, the Welsh got the SFS the English got SFI ( god knows why ) 2 the original version of the SFI (2022) was a pain in the arse, now the 2023/24 is a lot better and reports of them making it even easier for 2025
when i say farming background, father and mothers sides are all farmers, brother in law is a seed merchant for agri seeds etc etc i'm surrounded by farmers

Well I've got bricklayers in today. So I'm sure you can all guess the weather...
On the plus side it makes my Ranger look better for its end of contract inspection

Had wife's car inspected for EOC last week. Pissed that I got the front alloys refurbished and diamond cut at £115 each and assessor says oh we'd have only charged £67 a wheel.
Was even more pissed when he allegedly found a tear in the carpet at the drivers foot rest. Funny how its at a 90deg punched cut out of the carpet and you can't physically get your heel on it, not only that, but the cars had mats on from new and there wasn't even a hint of wear on the mats at this point.
He agreed it wasn't our doing, but somehow we're responsible and they want £360 for a replacement carpet.

Needless to say I didn't accept the assessment, I'm waiting for the bill to drop any day now, then the arguing can start.

For my part it's only fair to warn you that our first camping expedition is weekend after next on the North Devon coast and it has hissed it down the last two times. Last time we had to go south to get home due to flooded roads
