Mate said yesterday something about two full moons last July? Anyone heard of it? Means 12 months of rain apparently 😥😥😤
Absolute hammered it down last night here

I did check outside this morning to see if the hammering on the window was rain or tradesman’s tears!

Why can they no longer predict rainfall?

Obviously the satellite imagery and fancy computing is fit for nothing?

Maybe they should go back to sitting an actual person on the Welsh coast again.

Ive lost count of the days I drive distance to work to come home again as the forecast utterly fails us.

Well I enjoyed summer yesterday 12-15 deg and sunny, I went out to "trim" the hedge, but, managed to make my garden bigger by two foot, and take a small tree down from the front garden, the wife wood stained all the sheds for this year, we are both now feeling the after effects of a day. and it's throwing it down, so all in all summer 2024 has been and gone and we worked through it lol.

Yeah massacre is the term I used myself after finishing up, it'll grow back.... I hope. It's next doors hedge, they are well into their 80's now and I normally tend to both sides, as they don't get out much, there is still a good foot my side the boundary line and a foot there's. Worst case i'll drop a few panels in for them if it doesn't grow back again.

I'd rip the bloody thing out, bang in a fence and regain yet another foot of your garden ...... and never have to cut the damned thing again ;)

Got first cut in yesterday...
Man was it wet. Spinning on the flat and never dropped below highest notch. Crazy stuff. Went up the farm last night reckon it's wettest she's seen it. She's farmed it since a kid and must be nigh on 70 now 😳 still got 200 ewes inside to wet to let em out.

4 seasons in one day here, lovely sun, torrential rain, wind and hail so thick it was laying like snow on grass and icing over parked cars! Also blowing a gale...
Glad it wasn't like that over the weekend, I did a couple of hours paving Saturday morning then drove to Kent to buy a roof tent, yesterday I did a couple of hours voluntary work with the digger, then drove to Norfolk for a roof rack 😆 sunny all the way, not much traffic, lovely drive in the country.

Bloody typical that it's changed today, had a valater booked in for the ranger before it goes back- he's done a great job given the weather, but I can almost see when the winds blown the yard dust up- you'd think the rain/hail would have kept the dust down at least 😆 🤣

3 posts above sum it up exactly here too (y).. only thing missing was the snow, but the hail did a good impersonation of it laying ... howling WSW winds, cold enough to make you want to be anywhere it isn't :( and don't even talk to me about grass Gavin :censored: ... the coming week/seven days is supposed to be DRY .... 's gonna need to be blowing like hell too, to dry it enough around here to show it a mower ... needs floats, not wheels, in places

another four seasons day, with some serious winds ... had to gather up a few bits this morning, so assume it was a WILD night ... not had to do that in a while - everything's nailed down -- or I thought it was :rolleyes:
