Massive amounts of serious flooding in Ireland yesterday and apparently East Scotland is due a months worth or rain in 24hrs soon. Oddly calm and mild here in East Lancs, had some rain and wind over night, but nothing too bad.
The Met don't seem to be able to make their minds up when it's going to hit us and how much, every time I look at the forecast they've changed it
Best forecast is look at the window in lancs...they always over egg the stuff that ends up been average ....the big ones catch them out every time ๐Ÿ˜†

The first shower is headed your way now, it's the type that roars so loud you have to turn the telly up ๐Ÿ˜„
had that all night, last night on the Velux above our bed... as said earlier, 3+" of water in anything that holds water this morning ... probably a good 4+" by now, if not more  too bloody wet to be bothered to look ATM :(
fed the little ginger ferral on the top of the wall at six o'clock, just brought his bowl in with a good 1/2" of water in it ... and wasn't raining when I fed him .... bloody rainin' now though o_O
tomorrow is supposed to be a LOT worse!!!!

Sorry that's wrong, just looked at a weather map and the winds turned round a bit so it's off up to the lakes. Looks like the party starts in the morning...

Yes I think it's arriving at last. The Met say they haven't issued a red rain/flood warning for 3 yrs now, but have in Scotland.

Went on a call out with my mate last night to deliver and cable an emergency generator at a care home in bromsgrove- Hertford to Rainham for cables, lovely sunny day, drizzle all the way to bromsgrove, monsoon from the moment I got there to the moment I got back to Hertford at 2.30am!
Some of the worst driving conditions I can remember, glad it was so late as hardly any other cars on the road and very few numpties!
Just wet and miserable this morning, I've a job to measure then I'm staying inside

Apart from a couple of hours of very bright sunshine this afternoon, I don't think it's stopped raining on me since 6.30 on Thursday ๐Ÿ˜ข ๐Ÿ˜†
Did 2 poxy garden hedge/shrub/ tiny tree jobs today, my mate turned up wearing a pair of top spec Gill sailing salopettes!! Standard issue waterproofs at the golf course that he works at apparently, bizarrely they issue top spec work wear while paying bugger all ๐Ÿ˜”
Been a long time since I wore a fleece and waterproof at the same time, but these jobs needed knocking out today, needed them done and off my mind- unpleasant work for not enough money, get them done, move on...
