Yes can get two manual pull outsWas a Manual pull out an optional extra for your crane? I seem to remember seeing something about it when I’ve checked out your crane specs in the past.
was that a true crack in the parent material or a cold lap Mog?Today’s shenanigans
found a crack in the crane

it’s on thislinkage that opens out the telescopic arm

cracked just off the weld on both sides (still plenty of meat left but)
View attachment 55431.
so gouged it out with the plasma gouging torch (first time I’ve used it)

then die ground it back to clean material

and poured a bit of liquid steel in![]()
I'm glad you askedwas that a true crack in the parent material or a cold lap Mog?
what spec. material is the Cormack component fab.ed out of Mog? ... most of these loader cranes use some pretty exotic HT gradesYes can get two manual pull outsbut very expensive from cormach
was told that the first extension without the ram on top was £10k
feck knows how they get there prices
obviously only have the pic to go on, but looked suspiciously like a cold lap on my screenI'm glad you asked![]()

I thought that. It’s an expensive wooden box if that’s the case!Seen packing crates called that on big stuff ...but not more than the contents![]()
Well I gouged out to where the crack stopped (cold joint I think)
sounds all good then PaulWell I gouged out to where the crack stopped (cold joint I think)
and the ‘carpentry’ is a bracket that holds the pullies (will take a picture) mine got bent in a previous life but I straightened it out after they sent the quote
as for the metal will be some good stuffbut my extension will only be used for the hoist lifting air con units so max 600 kgs but will test to 1500 kgs it’s 8mm folded and bloody heavy (too much for me to lift
) I think I’ll be on the right side
