what circuit you going to use it on Mog ... the VA ? .. assume it's going on the duck?

No going on the tracked machine, going to use the bucket circuit with a couple of taps to divert the oil from the machine ram to the JCB bucket ram, even though it has two double acting services going down the dipper will be easier to work with

So basically set the original bucket ram where you want the extension to be then move the taps over to operate the new one? Simple is the best way

Well after making the extension arm for the big un the komogsu wanted one
So adapted one I had off a 3 tonner I scrapped

Got another 5’ of reach

And folds up nice and tight thank god for tape measures and angle finders

New project on the horizon
found a stillage that will make a sound base for it and make it easier to move around

then got a hopper 2m high X 2.4m long X 1.5m, from the ’yard’ cut it down a bit so I can get a tote bag in nicely

got to weld the box section back around the top to make it strong

made to get the water out of silt I have a job of cleaning ceramic balls that come from a aluminium smelting plant (don’t know what they do with them but have a lot of fragments of balls and grit mixed with them) so when I clean the trommel out (every 100 tons or so) I can separate the water (hopefully) and be able to dispose of the ‘dry waste’ to a recycling yard cheaply

Sounds like you need a white water pump and a Dissolved Air Flotation unit to get the crud out the water. We've done some work in the past for a company from Monmouth that hired out such units, Siltbuster.

may well be used to float on top of the melt pot, keep the heat in

Did a bit on the ‘cab’ today got it in the work shop and started to look at the dash

decided the only way forward was to pull the dash out and have a proper sort out

now only need to find out what theses wires do

if all them white wires have numbers on 'em Mog, it's probably off the other end of these ... after I'd sorted the 'chaff' out and extended a few - didn't have any white to suit - the chaff was a rainbow selection

Gave the chassis a hair cut

In preparation for the cab
Had to swap the obitrol unit as the one on the cab didn’t have a priority feed drilling

just need to:-

sort clutch
do brakes
make a ’new‘ accelerator pedal
get the spools to work from the cab
reconfigure both the oil and fuel tanks and fit them
get the gear leaver to change gears
relocate the hand brake (after I’ve free the cable and found a ‘new’ handle)
fit the rear mud guards (after I’ve cut them down to size)
did I say it’s a two seater cab so all the drivers controls need to be on the left hand side

so nearly there now
