Well managed to get the air filter in the engine bay, was a squeeze to make sure I can change the filter as well as servicing the rest of the machine

now the problem I have is the engine air pipe and the filter pipe are different sizes

So need a reducer of some kind and because I won’t spend any money and I’m inpatient to wait for something to arrive had a look around the ‘yard’ and there it was a stainless steel flask

but of cutting later and

a reducer made to measure

I would think so only need this engine on half throttle with the power it’s got it’s not going to be a front line machine only a bit of fun messing around with it to see what works and what doesn’t I have the ‘big’ filter for it but trying to get everything under the bonnet so if she’s struggling to breath will just have to up the anti this is the main reason I won’t spend any money on it as it’s still in the development stages

With the extra weight on the back end twin hoist cylinders might be required to allow it to give its full potential

I bet there is one of those huge container lifting forklifts in the scrap yard mog will show up to the great lift off with one welded to the back of the mogatsu and lift all the others combined lol

Having to earn a bit of money but here are a few pictures of the arse

as you can see well within the blade

and not too much overhang across track

and this is the gap i have to fill 7” will have to raise the bonnet as the hinges are sat on the engine, making it look something like will probably take as long as swapping the bloody engine

Decided against the under bonnet air box for a bigger external one behind the cab

Made a few in fill panels out of ally checker plate finished with a bit of rubber edging

made it so it all unbolts off, if I need to swap the engine again
had to pull the dipper ram off as the gland was leaking bad but apart from that it’s ready for HS2 when it comes by

Project for today
mate wanted a ripper to pull a few stumps out a bit lively so knocked this up

should be strong enough 20mm plate with welded in pins and a 140mm diameter pipe 8mm wall

the tooth is 40mm plate (same stuff I made mine from for the 18 tonner) 24” long

even put a sort of sharp edge to it
