Those Ibran grids look good, if they can be laid on soil rather than sub base that would be a big benefit.


"First prepare your surface by digging out an area to a 40mm depth, assemble your grids within the hole and simply re-fill with any soil and seed combination that suits you. Alternatively, lay the grids directly onto free draining, compacted ground and fill.

For the very best results, you may want to consider a 50-80mm sub base of type 1 MOT."

WIth how wet it is at the moment I wouldn't need a roller anyway, could just push them in with my boot.

I put some down around some horse field shelters, and done exact that, or rather that`s what the customer wanted. they are chuffed with the outcome and want some more doing, its just to wet at the moment.
