Also beating s**t out of stuff helps tooMy biggest difficulty in understanding is how not going to work can improve the situation.
I've felt depressed in the past as I'm sure many have, but going to work was my constant, a sense of purpose and achievement everyday. There have been days when I really didn't want to go to work, and either I went in and realized i was being silly and it wasn't all that bad, or I got another job.
I also think a lot of this stems from the wishy washy work environment we have. People clammer to sit in stuffy offices staring at a screen as work like construction is below them, when in reality hands on jobs give a great sense of purpose, self worth, self pride and achievement. And I think a sense of achievement is really important.
