you have got to be kidding --- needs offing, not knighting :mad::mad:
I've got to be honest. It's high time the honours list was seriously revised to remove public figures altogether.

OBE, CBE, Knighthood..... Usually for achievement gained by being in the public spotlight and having the benefits of greater lobbying that comes from it.

The likes of you and me will never get a CBE, or a Knighthood for the service to the Hod.

quite a true video of zero clue
Hopefully the BoE will start cutting rates. No one there seems to have understood the structural change that fixed rate mortgages have on consumers. Ever month more and more are coming off low fixed rate deals to find there family budget is being blown apart by the new mortgage cost. This is causing a drip drip slow down which we are now seeing play out in the economy. Inflation is no longer the enemy. It is stagnation!!!

We have had the big style whilst the BoE slept on the job. My guess will be that we see energy prices increasing for domestic supplies but oil going down. The danger is weak demand will lead to increase in unemployment and a need for the government to raise tax to foot the bill. The government needs lower rates to service the huge borrowing we have, with no plan to cut the deficit we will see UK finance in a far worse position at the end of this term compared to now. Stick in a loop of doom unless we can magic up some growth. Inflation is required, but we need growth to beat it!!

The government can cut interest rates all they like, but if the markets don’t believe either the rates or the spending/taxation plans are credible, then they won’t be able to borrow without paying a lot more. See: Liz Truss.

It’s a doom loop for sure. It’s the consequences of twenty years of kicking the can down the road after 2008 and printing money (unrealistically cheap interest on borrowed money that went straight into assets).

Lid needs lifting on this once and for all. 🤬
Absolutely , grooming and rape should be dealt with a decent level of immediacy . From what I gather the Oldham gangs were Asians and got a light hand from the feds as they were in fear of being called Racists . I don’t care where scum come from , wether they are home bred or abroad . They all need to be dealt with in the same manner and find themselves on the recieveing end of british justice system.
