just found this, searching the 'net, for someone who has that Hyundai in stock :(
Lumag jobbie ... wonder if @Regy53 has any stock ??:unsure:

just can't justify the cost of one of mr Stihl's units for the amount it'll get used
We stopped doing Lumag when the uk importer started to undercut their dealers selling direct :)

good brand none the less bit of a shame

that must've been bloody annoying .... so a reasonable buy then, for my sort of usage?

It was sometime in 2022 when the market just started to dip, i had about 30- 40 lumag products in stock and the importer started to change the price they sold at, ( they always sold direct which was fine we just had to be good in our area)

Anyway every monday we had to check all product agaisnt what they had done the previous week, it was a yoyo. I understand the story it was to do with market changing and stock commited to but it was crazy at one point we were selling items at a loss to get rid of stock just because the sales prices changed but it wasnt by a few % we were talking upwards of 30% changes.

Despite that i sold all the stock and we start again, the Lumag product is good. I would do it again if they had a more stable platform

it's something I am considering Mick ...... 'til I get started on removing the panels and accessing the carnage i really don't know how i am going to tackle it but that would deffo be the preferred method .... a 4" bit might take some finding though :giggle:
considering buying a cheapo petrol auger jobbie for a first option
something like this

not the sort of thing that'd be 'frontline' with me .. just occasional use .. hopefully being a main stream manufacturer it might last a while? .. 3 yr warranty too ..... thoughts?
I’ve got one & gave up with it on the first hole after the chineseium flight bent.

that's narrowed it down to a Lumag then .... .... would love to have a Stihl, but for the use it'll get I just can't justify the cost (to myself) :(
I also like the drive on that Lumag - 90 deg box with an upright motor
what sort of ground were you using it in?

I've got a hyundai very similar to that, works fine for the money. Did one deck with it that had over 100 posts- should have bought my Auger Torque for that really! Especially as I ended up buying it a few months later for another job in the same garden 😆

I've also got a hyundai mini chipper and stump grinder, both good little machines that paid for themselves quickly. The main bits like the engines, drum, cutter head, frames and hoppers are fine and reliable, its the little stuff that let's it down/makes it feel cheap- broken kill switches, snapped brake cable, weak handles. The kind of thing that can generally be worked round and then fixed in the workshop.
I'd buy all 3 again 👍

Do you want to borrow my auger torque?
that is a VERY KIND offer boyo .. thank you :cool: .... do you have a 4" flight for it ? .... will try and get the post remnants, out of the hole in the concrete, as suggested, first...
not sure as Lil' Jake'll run it though, as I don't think the breaker line is reversible ....
have looked to see if I can spot a single/double acting valve and couldn't see one, even with the foot plate off ....

Do you know Ollie? @Gunners

Druid,
My earlier model 801-5 had a blanking plug in the valve block under the floor plate.

I just ran a hose from that to get two way to operate my log splitter.

I'll have to have another look under the floor plate Rob ... hopefully it's the same ... did you have a valve on the splitter or operated the return from the pedal ?

There's an auger torque here if you want it ,150 mm flight only tho
another VERY kind offer - thank you Bob ... if i can get the 4" post out of the concrete it would be easier and as said .. don't know if Lil Jakie's breaker line'll do two way

will have to look, but will bear both of your offers in mind :cool:

May I make a suggestion ,see if you could cover them up ,try to keep them dryish ,as a little shrinkage will help the job along
