jeeeeezus ... cub engine in summat else BTLs... different back end/swing arm, tele forks, different bars/yokes .. never seen a 450 x 18 sand cross used as a front tyre before

Remember Honda 90s from probably mid to late 60s there was a guy local that had a norton 650 ss. A right character he kept his norton in his mates store/garage and rode a Honda 90 from his home to his mates to get his norton, he hammered that little Honda mercilessly and would sit Revving the tits of it and just stamp it into gear how that little bike stuck it I will never know, every one into bikes labelled them jap crap but I am certain no Brit bike would have stood that abuse. Not everyone’s cup of tea me included but credit where credits due Honda built a good machine most of the Japanese makers did I had Suzuki’s and yamahas both 250s but no Brit 250s at the time came close except for handling. They were in a different class in my opiniontoo right

YEP ... The C50/70/90,s were absolutely bombproof .. totally reliable and got thousands of people about for decades (and still doing so in many other countries)
... as a little runaround they were unbeatableKawi's my marque of choice, followed by Yammy ... had loads of Hodnas and a few Suzis
one I most regret selling - ever - was my XS500E Yam ... was years ahead of its time - in '77
twin cam, 8 valve rocket.

Just to be clear, the Super Cub (125cc) is still in production
Cast wheels, brakes that work, 1.5l/100km - what more could you want
All that for 3k gbp

but'd get you about faultlessly, ad inifinitum, if its predecessors are anything to go by

The Cub must have quite a following because it's more than four times the price of one of these

basically a variation on the SS50 moped intro-ed in the UK early 70,s with pedals to meet the moped laws ..(that you couldn't actually use) .. Honda's answer to Yammy's Fizzy FS1E ... was a piece of tish and the fizzy must've outsold 'em 20:1 if not more
but as that one of yours is from '67... the UK's SS was a variation on IT, realistically ..... thank God I never owned one o' them

Mate had an ss50 and it was as quick as the fizzies..... restricted bikes had come out when we were on 50's but we searched out the pré restricted stuff.
We spent as much time picking them up as riding them.

Mr Millyard is often on Shed n Buried he has some nicen bikes if i remember correctly he built a 6 Cylinder Kawasaki.
Incidently i think the new series of Shed n Buried started this week i have it on a series link.
I had a Yamaha Fs1eDx with a modied Jama exhaust to get another 5 Mph out of it then i got a Yamaha DT 50 happy days!

well that didn't happen .... we had Harper most of the day yesterday, who wasn't 100%, but did manage to get all the grass cut - againAnyway .... assuming the forecast is to believed ... will get said tank assembled hopefully and mounted tomorrow
amazed how much was on it in 4 daysand then spent a couple of fruitless hours sat in Vicki's garden, before tea, for the third time this week, with me air rifle, waiting for the rat that'd spent most of the morning wandering around like he owned the place, to show his face, for extermination.
all I want is one shot ... I'm yet to even see the bloody thing.
so was determined to get summat done today...
patch looked like it'd snowed ... crab apple tree dropping blossom like confetti ..
got the tank top out and knocked a corner out of it, after I'd sussed how much to remove,
then cut some bits an' pieces for the next bit .. set 'em out and put some holes in 'em
followed by a bit of thread tapping ...
and some studs cut to suit
all fitted fine ...
welded up a few more bits ...
and ground back to a finished flat ... consolidated the studs ..
after I'd sorted a 'have we got ? & a can you just?' ... I did and an hour later went to see the result and have some lunch .....
next step .. stitch some more bits up ...
and nail 'em
and I've used me quota .... (much to Rory's annoyance
