Sorry I meant do we get a video of frankenmog working ?
Not yet still poorly😢 waiting for the ram seals plus when I pulled the ram to bits it picked up on the thread so may have to make a new end cap😡 To be honest my attention span has expired hence me making the tooth for my pal😉 got a bit of work on as well so a nice break form pissing around with it
On another note got to wire up an old Land Rover that was told just needs the lights wiring🤔 now it’s turned up it hasn’t even got a dash board😳😢 or any wiring at all 😫 was a petrol but has had a diesel fitted so need to start from scratch, ffs not even got a battery box just a hole under the seat🤪

What happened to not spending any money on it 🤷‍♂️

I‘d have thought you’d have just transplanted an upgraded ram?

Ahh hold that thought 🤔 as part of the deal with the digger I also cleared out a shipping container I couldn’t lift because it was full of crap🤔 sorry the guys pride belongings😳 was a half pallet of welding rods so disposed of the rods for him so I could lift the thing💪 and the guy who gets my seals only has stick welders😉 so going to do a deal 😉 so no money will be spent, plus if I had a suitable ram laying around it would of been stuck on by now😂 but never say never😂

20mm square solid'd be a lot stronger and longer lasting/resistant to damage Mog

It’s only going to form an edge for the concrete👍 so should last
Having seen it done like that many times I agree that a square would be better.
Dirt will get in between & push the flat out.
As will moisture & freeze doing the same.
Never mine equipment catching it & bending it.

Wouldn’t work🤔 as I need a bearing for the steel plates

heres my plan
black is the concrete panel
red is 6”x3” channel welded together
yellow will be poured concrete
brown is a 20mm thick steel plate to cover the open pit
green is the 20mm flat bar on edge welded to the channel
so can’t have anything too wide as will make the 20mm plate be too close to the edge of the pit

Ok I’ll come clean🤔 I’ve a load of 20x6 flat bar (that came in the scrap some fabrication shop that had closed down) 👍 you known I don’t like spending money 😉 when I don’t need too
I'd already guessed that ..... just have to seam weld it then :p:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Our pit has angle for pit boards to sit and held concrete back and has never moved even has a pit jack that rolls along angle too
Yep that’s exactly how I did mine about 20 years ago 👍🏻 Even painted the angle yellow 😎

We do loads in ferodo where we do 50x50 angle with 20x10 flat bar weld to it, sprags on the angle and forms the edges of our pits and cable ways then 10mm chequer plate dropped in to close them up.
