Think that's organised? You should see the inside!

This is messier than I like.

that dumper looks the bollox on those wheels James (y) .... Jakie looking nice an clean mate ;) .... been busy with the pledge :giggle::p

86c could do with a polish tbh, but doubt it will get it before it moves again. This current job is just next door to us, but the next move is to a nature reserve, she will want a scrub up after that one no doubt!
Dumper is brilliant with those tyres, only downside is if you do end up in the shite then it just spins. But for most jobs it’s perfect.

be a hell of a weapon with one on it ;)(y)

Considering it at the moment.

Well it ended up being a compromisde between how it was for the Q/H on the Hyundai and direct mount for the E10, as it contacted the dipper on the E10 as was. I took what I dared off the offending bolt head, but had to bring the tip pin down a fair way. I don't remember bottoming out the tip ram on the Hyundai to get enough crowd, so hopefully she won't miss the few degrees she will have lost. Couldn't have it hitting the Bobcat dipper. Knocked up some spacers to make her a snug fit.

It's bloody good on the E10! Gives you a bit more reach, and gives you loadover height by virtue of being able to offset the bucket to the side before you tip!! Can even load the the centre of the tipper truck now which will be a major plus. A day in the workshop well spent. I'm still using the R17 buckets and she handles them OK. I will treat her to a micro shell bulking and trenching bucket (already have micro grader) for a little less weight as I think the tilty could be an almost permanent fixture on her. We can always direct mount or QH mount the R17 buckets or ripper on her for heavy digging. Best of both worlds I think, and then there should be enough buckets to have both machines out whatever the job. The tilty will still fit under the R17 Q/H when required.

I had five 1/4" hydaulic pipes that were the wrong length for the job I ordered them for. One was perfect for the top hose for the smaller ram on the grab, and two were perfect (90 degree bends and all) for extension hoses for the tilty. Happy days.

They're just daylight temprature compact flourescents in a festoon lighting string with the 110v plug cut off and a 240v plug fitted. A quick bodge when I moved in and was skint, and never needed upgrading.

That's some fair going, all I managed to do was service the htd5 and that was a complete twat for a couple of reasons. o ring for the oil filter housing is too big and wouldn't go back in place spent more time than I should struggling with it before getting some sealant to help keep it in place and seal the housing.
The htd5 has a sliding engine tray and thought would use this "feature" to make the service a little easier, well whatever dickhead at JCB designed the placement for the rear bolt with two spacers well done your a twat, what an ordeal that was to not only undo in the first place ( I had the dumper on my tipper trailer so though would be an ok height to work in it) it's not you can barely reach the bolt and the angle its at gives limited space to get the ratchet at it. That's the easy bit to get it back in you have to magically hold the two spacers in your finger tips with the bolt in your palm then somehow position and hold them behind the bracket while trying to shift the bolt up your palm to slide through the slot then through the centre of the two spacers before finding the nut to screw into. That's if your lucky enough to do it first time without the spacers dropping onto the trailer and rolling away.
Can safely say there is no chance you could do that in a field on the ground but to be fair it doesn't move that far to make any sort of real difference the oil sump plug still sits on the frame so oil runs across the frame before dropping into a oil collector

My Hyundai is like that, I bloody hate it.

Got this gateway sorted today. Little Bobcat was very handy to lift the heavy old oak posts about, and level some stone for a soft patch.

Seems pretty good. Frustratingly small compared to a 1.7t but its a micro at the end of the day. Seems to have plenty of digging power. Tomorrow's job is putting a trench 600mm deep into chalk- would normally send the 1.7t but it's not here so I've direct mounted the bucket and will send that and the ripper for some tarmac and bamboo roots. Only 30m so it should piss it. We'll find out tomorrow anyhow.

Apparently there's a good bit more power without the quick hitch, worth taking off for all day trenching. Trenched and backfilled by quarter to two, with plenty of waiting round for the main contractor. Good little machine.

Got the R17 back from Ernest Doe today. Despite asking for the main boom to be shimmed as a goodwill gesture, it wasn't. Also cost me £92 for a bottom roller. Any decent dealer should have thrown that in after all the aggro and the three month wait I've had. To be fair, i think they have the devils own job getting Hyundai to pay properly for repairs, so the next machine will probably come as a rebranded Hyundai from Case. They did promise me it back by Monday or Tuesday, and I had the phone call at 10AM this morning so that was good.

The clevis was welded on in exactly the right place, as I asked. (y) Strong enough, but someone needs to learn what the voltage knob does ffs.(n)

To be fair it’s easy to get a nice flat weld in vertical position with a mig. Simple case of not enough power no matter what position it was in.

That’s good then. Did they question the fact the thumb was fitted?
