the oil sump plug still sits on the frame so oil runs across the frame before dropping into a oil collector
How are you getting on with the bobcat? My Hyundai is like that, I bloody hate it.
Got this gateway sorted today. Little Bobcat was very handy to lift the heavy old oak posts about, and level some stone for a soft patch.

Seems pretty good. Frustratingly small compared to a 1.7t but its a micro at the end of the day. Seems to have plenty of digging power. Tomorrow's job is putting a trench 600mm deep into chalk- would normally send the 1.7t but it's not here so I've direct mounted the bucket and will send that and the ripper for some tarmac and bamboo roots. Only 30m so it should piss it. We'll find out tomorrow anyhow. How are you getting on with the bobcat?

Did they do the dipper change under warranty Doob?Apparently there's a good bit more power without the quick hitch, worth taking off for all day trenching. Trenched and backfilled by quarter to two, with plenty of waiting round for the main contractor. Good little machine.
Got the R17 back from Ernest Doe today. Despite asking for the main boom to be shimmed as a goodwill gesture, it wasn't. Also cost me £92 for a bottom roller. Any decent dealer should have thrown that in after all the aggro and the three month wait I've had.To be fair, i think they have the devils own job getting Hyundai to pay properly for repairs, so the next machine will probably come as a rebranded Hyundai from Case. They did promise me it back by Monday or Tuesday, and I had the phone call at 10AM this morning so that was good.
The clevis was welded on in exactly the right place, as I asked.Strong enough, but someone needs to learn what the voltage knob does ffs.

WTF did they not weld that on, whilst the dipper was on the floor ??Apparently there's a good bit more power without the quick hitch, worth taking off for all day trenching. Trenched and backfilled by quarter to two, with plenty of waiting round for the main contractor. Good little machine.

Yes mate
To be fair it’s easy to get a nice flat weld in vertical position with a mig. Simple case of not enough power no matter what position it was in.

No, and they’d better not seeing as bobcat will supply you one as a factory fit. That’s good then. Did they question the fact the thumb was fitted?
