Hydraulic pump seals replaced for farmer ready for hay turning, couple of hoses replaced on loader also
@wee_gus , what do you put the abnormal wear on the 8t down to? It’s very unusual.
or the track frame is out of square???We are doing some tests just now to find out 100% but suspect it’s an issue with idler assemblies.
That was the initial theory but on measurements it’s running true, there’s only 2or the track frame is out of square???
twisted then ?? .... in the horizontal plainThat was the initial theory but on measurements it’s running true, there’s only 2
Of these in Scotland and they both have undercarriage issue
I couldn’t see the other one but apparently not identical, they have only ever sold 7 ECR88D with steel tracks in Uk & Eire. We have rotated the idlers around just now and will check again in 500 & 1000 hours to see what’s going ontwisted then ?? .... in the horizontal plain.. is the wear identical on both .... build jig issue ?????

I may be wrong here but are steel tracks that much worse for sprocket and idler wear than rubber. Do rubber tracked Volvo 8t not suffer from higher wear than other makes?I couldn’t see the other one but apparently not identical, they have only ever sold 7 ECR88D with steel tracks in Uk & Eire. I’m not 100% sure. All my customers machines are on steel. So don’t do a lot with rubber tracks.I may be wrong here but are steel tracks that much worse for sprocket and idler wear than rubber. Do rubber tracked Volvo 8t not suffer from higher wear than other makes?
