Think the valves might need lapping in

I think if you zoom in close you can see a minute nick is the seat of the valve there. only just mind, it might not affect the run of the engine

initial thought when I looked at the piston pic was ...... Oh **** Gus ........ then i scrolled down to the next pic and thought ...... well that's completely fooked .... or do you reckon it'd polish out ?
complete lump job? or is that block re-build-able ? ... cam snapped, did it ??

Nope can belt didn’t slip,
Still perfect. And the gear timing on the camshafts are perfectly lined up.
We think it got hot on that cylinder melted the end of the glow plug and hey Presto
