Someone’s had their moneys worth out of this. Nigh on 6000 hours on a hire special 1.7t.

Hitatchis do seem to clock the hours well.

Without a doubt hitachi minis are the ultimate machine for someone else to drive.
The cab on them are awful. But they are smooth powerful and take abuse like nothing else. The firm I use to work for had 15 of them from 1.9 to 18t and they have a reputation for abusing them. They wouldn't know what a grease gun is. I never saw a drive motor have its oil changed once the Hitachi service plan ran out, not a straight panel on them most the cab glass was missing after the second week of ownership. The only thing that ever wore out on them was the whites quick hitch, but TBF they turned up from the factory worn out.
The only time they ever broke down was from the water separator not being drained, leaving the paper filter in the drying room over night would fix it.

My other half knows I like my cars/plant and associated kit so pics aren’t that unusual. When I happen to mention im thinking of buying “X item” it’s usually followed quickly by a No 🤣🤣
sounds all too familiar .... tend to keep my thoughts to myself ... 'til actually setting out to collect -- or better still it arrives.:giggle:

After quite a few days of intensive searching, I have not really found anything fitting the brief. Had anyone heard of anything that might fit the bill? 2.5 - 3 t, £9k max? ( would prefer a grand less 😂😂😂).

"Looks half about" = Looks half decent in yorkshire? Lol.
Anyone have experience of this model? I think it's a Kx61-2 from my homework?
I am going to give the seller a call. It's a good treck from me, around 4.5 hours each way. Is there anyone close who could take a look for me? Happy to pay. Thanks in advance.

I'm possibly the closest, but a good hour twenty from me ... was down there working with Russ last year and took me all of that in the Sportage, at half five in the morning, giving it some and I knew the road.
taking the A465 and M4 is no quicker on clear roads, but always carnage at most times of the day

So I have had a chat with the veǹdor, he didn't really have much more to say about it other than what's in the advert. Says the cab mounts are a bit wobbly when tracking over rough stuff. Says it's a 94-97 machine, he has been using it a bit and all seems good. No VAT.
asked if they had a quick hitch they could fit, but they don't have one in stock.
so if all else fails I may well leave Yorkshire on Tuesday next, go via sunny Wales, to collect the dog from Cambridge, then the chunnel back to France.
