What does she pull the Tb230 like?
Great (but not as well as my 3000kg tow limit MAN van tbh, that is very comfortable and stable, just not legal…).
The ute is a funny truck really, 4.5l V8 turbo which should be mind-blowing but in reality is pretty underwhelming to drive in some ways. Low revs/speed (up to 1200rpm/30mph) it’s as you would expect - tonnes of torque, would pull a house down. Has massive turbo lag from 1500-2000 rpm, and it feels like you are driving with no mechanical sympathy as you need to rev it through this weak flat spot (a bit like a Landy td5). Once the turbo is doing its thing it sounds ace though, and romps along around 3000rpm - pretty much unstoppable then (but thirsty with it!).

i don't think alot of them are huge horsepower for the size of engine. Im sure I read somewhere they came out the factory with anything from 208hp to 375hp depending on application. I'm sure with 375hp they must be unstoppable

Yeah, it’s clearly massively understressed (I guess that’s how they are know to do 500000 miles plus without issue). There’s loads of tuning options from Australia and Soyth Africa available, none of them cheap though! I’ll leave it standard for now - it’s as much a toy/investment as a workhorse really and I don’t want to put tonnes of miles on it.
