So I spent yesterday tinkering in the workshop, I'd picked up this stillage out of a skip at the datacentre a month or two ago, more on the "That's too good to be thrown away" front than I had any use for it. Anyway, her indoors is knitting a metre plus long replica of the Great Western Air Ambulance, and needed a set of landing gear made for it, so I suggested this as a donor;

So dragged it up the workshop, and set about chopping it apart with the plasma cutter, then the chop saw!

That pallet jack is mighty handy as an adjustable height platform!

So once I'd finished blowing holes in it, that's what we were working with.

Just a few bits leftover!

And the finished product. She was chuffed.
Sadly I managed to kill my favourite angle grinder in the course of action. Shall see if I can get it some new brushes or if it's totally fubar next weekend.
