So I tracked it around the garden seems okay I did eventually get it to spin but still the pin slides partially back in to stop the track levers then out of no where the solenoid valve for the lever lock sound like a impact gun think it may need a new one 🤣🤣 or possibly a clean out

Had a look inside the solenoid small bits of rust on the shaft that goes into the housing the pin was kind of stuck aswell so got that free still nothing I can hear the pin moving everytime I push the dead man down did a ohms test getting about 13-14 across the 2 pins can't find any info on what it should be tho I know it varys from different manufacturers

Is there a general rule the lower it gets the more it's dying ?

Use ohm meter end on one wire and the case of the solenoid see what you get?
I lost enthusiasm tonight I'm not going to lie opened the lid on the hydraulic tank and it's milky as hell. I suppose that's the problem with it being stored outside for years I thought I had got it all out but obviously not

That can be quite time consuming to get all that out, I did a three ton dumper once, every hose, every ram, every motor, every pump, a hospital job, took two weeks!

it's what's in the lines, etc., that will be the problem, contaminating any thing new you put in the tank ... as Mick says, will take some clearing out .. may need several changes of oil to rid the system, without dismantling everything and flushing through:(

Absolute nightmare but that's what happens when you deal with the unknown

Luckily I have only tracked it and spun it so least its not all the boom aswell

I got nothing on this mick I cleaned it all up aswell inside the top of the cover was quite rusty still nothing but when I put it on the machine it does push the pin out but doesn't retract it but I presume the hydraulic pressure would do that
