The hydraulic splitter I bought at the jumble, next to my existing pto one. It'll be ideal for running off a digger/mini loader on jobs. It's had a decent sized plate welded on the base and had a pair of wheels slid over the linkage pins, what a great idea! Couldn't resist for Β£400 πŸ‘
That's a darn good idea on the linkage wheels πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Shed on the move πŸ‘Œ Not going to be doing any more work on this till the pads are in at the other yard, which won't be for a few weeks, and I need a bit of space for the weekend so I've dragged it up into the field. Moved very nicely, tight squeeze in the top gate but that's where the digger beats dragging with a chainπŸ‘
Slightly cooler this morning and I was about, with 2 machines, so I lit the fire, needs must. Went a treat and dropped down to embers very quickly, 6ft deep bund helps!

Back on its (temporary) wheels πŸ‘Œ
Helping a mate put a new floor in his on Saturday- hence the shed move- and it makes sense to do the pair together so put the old wheels back on and flipped it back over while I had the big digger out.
Amazing how what looked like a tidy few pallets of odds and ends looked fine with the trailer over it, now looks a right junkyard πŸ˜†

Trailer floors in, well worth doing the pair together, much more efficient πŸ‘
Mill ready for a 6am start 😯 tomorrow- at the golf course where my mate works, think we've got to get into the woods before the first round starts πŸ˜†
Started a rack for my lifting chains, pull winch etc from more stuff I had lying around πŸ‘ Galv posts were 6 quid the pair from the auction and I did pay for the paint- 15 years ago πŸ˜† Bit overkill for my needs but if they're all stored together hopefully I'll be more likely to use the right combination πŸ‘
Forklift on the planings for the first time, no problem at all, and finished the day with a cider in the sun while I fed the animals and locked upπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

Some collection there πŸ‘Œ monster chain blocks as well!
I like a job with some chain blocking and winching, normally some nice problem solving and some surprised onlookers when it all works out πŸ˜†

Quick trench job in the morning then back to the yard for a tidy up/move around ahead of the new digger shed🀞 Got the least useful stuff into the least accessible corner, instead of right in the bloody front πŸ˜†
Mini loader is fantastic for this sort of thing, just need a good stack of pallets handy.
Finished up by knocking back another dozen or so chunky branches off the overhanging trees, any excuse to use the milwaukee polesaw πŸ˜†

Bank Holiday tourist weekend started off less than ideal when my mates d3 died on route to the far side of Wales. Luckily we were just by a slip road so he was able to coast up to the lights then I towed him to a safe spot. It was only after I'd put the rope on I had the brief thought of 'bloody hell, I'm only in the freelander, that's a completely dead disco plus caravan' but apart from a little chirp of front wheel spin no problem at all πŸ‘
They went home, changed car and booked themselves into the Premier Inn in St David's where we all met up in the end.
Weather on Saturday was less than ideal but we watched the very impressive lifeboat launch in the morning, wandered round the city πŸ˜† and in the afternoon it picked up enough for a bit of time on the beach.
Sunday we headed for the Brecon area via as many scenic roads as we could, in great sunny weather. Lovely campsite with a hell of a view.
Came home yesterday via Llanthony Priory and the road along Hay Bluff, another amazing road, as scenic and enjoyable as pretty much anything I've driven, including all round Scotland.
Couldn't take as many pictures as I wanted as my phone memory is full, just gives me an excuse to go back! Brilliant to spend the whole weekend in places I've never been, apart from a Scout event in Llanthony years ago.
Freelander continues to impress, its on 181k now. I've done 9k in 6month in it at an average 31mpg which I think is pretty reasonable as its got the roof rack, a/t tyres and I drive it hard when I want to.
