The hydraulic splitter I bought at the jumble, next to my existing pto one. It'll be ideal for running off a digger/mini loader on jobs. It's had a decent sized plate welded on the base and had a pair of wheels slid over the linkage pins, what a great idea! Couldn't resist for £400

Shed on the move Not going to be doing any more work on this till the pads are in at the other yard, which won't be for a few weeks, and I need a bit of space for the weekend so I've dragged it up into the field. Moved very nicely, tight squeeze in the top gate but that's where the digger beats dragging with a chain
Slightly cooler this morning and I was about, with 2 machines, so I lit the fire, needs must. Went a treat and dropped down to embers very quickly, 6ft deep bund helps!

Back on its (temporary) wheels
Helping a mate put a new floor in his on Saturday- hence the shed move- and it makes sense to do the pair together so put the old wheels back on and flipped it back over while I had the big digger out.
Amazing how what looked like a tidy few pallets of odds and ends looked fine with the trailer over it, now looks a right junkyard

Trailer floors in, well worth doing the pair together, much more efficient
Mill ready for a 6am start tomorrow- at the golf course where my mate works, think we've got to get into the woods before the first round starts
Started a rack for my lifting chains, pull winch etc from more stuff I had lying around Galv posts were 6 quid the pair from the auction and I did pay for the paint- 15 years ago Bit overkill for my needs but if they're all stored together hopefully I'll be more likely to use the right combination
Forklift on the planings for the first time, no problem at all, and finished the day with a cider in the sun while I fed the animals and locked up

This stuff is brilliant, putting the trailer floor screws in it was like you'd drilled the pilot holes 1mm wider!

can't beat a nice chain rack

made this one originally to keep my chain blocks neat and tidy does a reasonable job of keeping the chains I kept in order, after my yard clearance
had sold a few off there when this was taken

I like a job with some chain blocking and winching, normally some nice problem solving and some surprised onlookers when it all works out

some I didn't keep 22t, 34t & some miscellaneous chains and wires

kept these

and a load of smaller slings plus a selection of shackles

and a few of these

had 4 double acting multi-stage ones 5ft x 8" closed that I was gonna make a machine jack with - sadly they went in the skip

I like a job with some chain blocking and winching, normally some nice problem solving and some surprised onlookers when it all works out

had some 5t x 20ft drops too ... they lived in their own boxes ... were two falls plus the hand chains - a lot of chain

Loads of chain, need a little chain block to hang your big chain block

if having to suspend 'em in the air, at any height, used a 3 x 2 rope block and tackle to get them air-borne .. they were a weight hung up

had a pair of 'em - could've popped 'em in an envelope and posted 'em to you if I'd known you had an interest
I should've kept 'em for garden ornaments

Quick trench job in the morning then back to the yard for a tidy up/move around ahead of the new digger shed Got the least useful stuff into the least accessible corner, instead of right in the bloody front
Mini loader is fantastic for this sort of thing, just need a good stack of pallets handy.
Finished up by knocking back another dozen or so chunky branches off the overhanging trees, any excuse to use the milwaukee polesaw
