What do you guys run?

run around in a old N reg short wheel base Vauxhall Frontera stripped the back seats out and use it to hold all my tools pulls any trailer under 750 kg like a train. Is only a 2 litre and drinks like a fish but for what i do and where i need to go is perfect plus has enough leg room for me at over 6ft8 tall

not quite at that point yet but getting there as looking for a new family car and yeah is not easy should see me in my main employers vans sort of pour myself in to the transporter i normally drive

Have a T5.1 transporter for work and an Isuzu Dmax for weekends and towing trailer when required.

I had a 2006 Chevy Silverado 6.6L Duramax Diesel with the Allison Automatic 4x4 it was big as a house and I felt like a midget in it but christ that thing would pull. I had to let it go last fall as I was starting to have engine and/or turbo and tranny issues and a few other niggles. I bought it 2nd hand but figure it had been abused as we did a fair bit of front end work to it....I miss it though. Currently running a 2007 Toyota Tundra 4.7L gutless petrol engine bloody comfy though. And for a family vehicle we have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner SUV with the 4.0L V6 petrol engine and is quite a nice truck.

Still running my vito dual liner had it 8 years now should replace it but it still does what it should do and has never let me down has my big box of tools in the back plus rear seatsView attachment 45

On my 2nd Caddy. I've had this one over 18months. Suits me as I don't need to tow and the bigger the vehicle the more crap I end up carrying. Ex demonstrater loaded with just about anything and everything you can think of. Even parks itself, parallel or at 90degree which ever you select.

Yes I remember that post the only thing it’s needed is a new prop shaft apart from brakes and tyres

Got this old girl originally bought as flatbed. Used for around a year before I spotted a right old dog the same but tipper on gumtree. Bought the other back from Northampton on the m1. Interesting with artics overtaking. Anyway sold that with the flatbed on so got my tipper unit for next to nowt. Have had 1.6t on it and tipped off. Wasn't trying to kill her just didn't realise! A lot more careful what I load up now!

Seems to be a few more up for sale these days to be fair never considered one at the time as was out of budget. Do you tow with yours? Your 300 miles to £60 is not far off what I get with the 3.2 diesel

toyota dyna mwb 3 way tipper,great truck but bit small in the cab 65k trouble free miles so far will tip 3 ton easily

Left hand drive although there is a company doing a conversion to rhd although adds somethinv like 30k to the price of a raptor

So what's the alternative if you want to drive round in a nice big truck with the seat on the right side? Is it just a case of buying a bus or a small lorry?

Yep no truck does it, the Americans really do good trucks the uk are ok but nothing in comparison

go live in France .... or the States ..... have had a few LHD vehicles and don't dislike it TBH

3.5t is the limit any bigger and it's o license, yard, tacho etc
Not sure how some of the larger f250 and rams get away with it but might be if they are private vehicles rather than used for business
