£800 + vat supply and fit 2 rear disks and pads on 19t tuck
The price might not be comparable to uk but 6hrs labour quoted - sound reasonable?

Probably £300 a side for the discs and pads on an HGV heavy axle (11ton). Sounds not bad. It's when they come back to you mid job and say" oh yes sir, we also need to change the ABS sensors and pad wear sensors" 😵

Ouch😳 and that my friend is why I do all my own maintenance

pads for a Volvo FH13 is £90 per axle and I can do both sides in less than a couple of hours😉 but my lorry will jack itself up on the legs so all the wheels are off the ground in less than a minute💪, big air gun to whip 20 nuts off🤔 the most fiddly bit is winding the callipers back🥸

Bit of an update on lorry as its 2 years since I bought it and ffs thats gone bloody quick !
It had 265k on it when I bought it and that clicked to 300k today

Not required much up to now 🤞had it serviced by local firm and at same time it had disks and pads changed.
It has a strange thing where it throws a coolant level warning from time to time nearly always when you have been going up hill and as you crest the top and start downhill it throws the warning, if you lightly rock the truck it goes off.....level is good so reckon it must be sensor, which is an affair like this into top of rad.

Other than the above its been very solid, not at all like the iveco felt, and after running it for a while it has come to feel like a very handy size - carries 10t but nigh on as handy as my old 7.5t in reality but carries the 6.5t and its attachments easily.
Fingers crossed for another year or few.

I'm shocked at how quickly time goes these days ... we have many 'fixed points' in our weeks and don't they ever come around unbelievably quickly

If it was a daf, you'd get the infamous b'ding b'ding abs truck warning.

I still like the idea of a roll on roll off but then I discovered the other day my ramps are a nice angle onto the back of the grab but would mean lifting the door on and off everytime
