All three of my grabs came from them, but I always tell them to leave the headstock to me!It’s an approved hydraulics one and one always found them useless to be fair , love the grab as it literally leaves nothing , was just after something more compact but then that means more £££
His problem will be that the bolts are directly under the pins. I'd take your idea and see if a decent ball ended allen socket would do the trick.drill a 17mm hole dead centre, and put a bolt with a nyloc on it barely nipped, swap the hex bolts for SHCS and it'd make life a lot easier with a ratchet and 14mm hex ... bolts out, spin, bolts back in![]()

it'd work, but become pretty rattly, fairly rapidly, on just a big bolt ... needs a disc and clamp plate to rotate about really ... quite do-able, with little effort.I'd just be making a big plate with a big central bolt, then a simple drop in locking pin for 90' locking..... Why be complicated

That would be a good compromise- plenty enough clamp force for that little grab. Four M16 bolts is all that holds my rotator and larger grab to the 2.8t, so going down to M14 would be fine for your application.3rd one they’ve cocked up for me

I did think I’ll bin off the m16 bolts go down to m14 bolts that’ll go right through and stick a nut on the bottom. But it’s not the right thing really

'cos my take is .. they're tapped into the grab plateAre we over complicating the head stock why can't you just weld the bolts in on the hanger bracket and just undo the nuts underneath![]()
