Sherpa working her little socks off, E19 and ripper getting a workout, new grab, and the chainsaw abused. How does the little Sherpa compare to the muck truck?Yes x100. It’s all about quick repeated cycles. I piled up a load then got on with ripping out the stumps whilst the Sherpa driver self loaded, ran it up the ramps and out of the garden and made a first class pile on the boards with minimal overspill. Both him and me were flat out, neither having to wait for the other. A tracked loader would be too slow, would rip the slabs up when turning (dodgy patio) and shake the operator to bits. I can’t see the point in them for domestic jobs like this.
not half. Those trees plus stumps and dig out was £2800 plus vat. Two days two men, £2100 plus vat left after wages, grab lorry and fuel. She does like a drink though- 15 litres a day if you’re pushing it hard.
Don't fall for his Pipe Mikey, he will play you a tune of how wonderful it is when in reality he got both in Kinder Eggs. How does the little Sherpa compare to the muck truck?
You can’t compare the two really. Not even close. How does the little Sherpa compare to the muck truck?
What's the difference in travel speed? The powerbarrow I have is a fast walk and good on hills. You can’t compare the two really. Not even close.
If I was using the muck truck instead I’d still be on that job!
High capacity 76cm bucket or the 118cm bucket must carry about the same as a muck truck. Bit faster on the travel. What's the difference in travel speed? The powerbarrow I have is a fast walk and good on hills.
What about volume of muck?
The sherpa looks much more of a machine but at a cost. I mainly do patios, lawns and driveways so wouldn't really need any of the other attachments.
It’s a Strickland- the geometry is spot on. I like the rsl blade idea but their geometry is wrong imho. One day I’ll weld something onto this to test the teeth idea. What make is that ripper tooth- looks like a BMC one. Do you think there's much merit to the RSL rippers that have the serated blade on the rear to get through roots?
East side of Manchester, on the edge of the countryside. It's a lovely area albeit very hilly. Access is always the biggest issue.High capacity 76cm bucket or the 118cm bucket must carry about the same as a muck truck. Bit faster on the travel.
It’s so much more of a machine- self loading, high tip, can make precise piles, level out stone etc. Where are you based?
How high can it tip?High capacity 76cm bucket or the 118cm bucket must carry about the same as a muck truck. Bit faster on the travel.

Higher than a high tip. Reaches the centre of a transit just about too. You can ‘flick’ the bucket when tipping to get it to the other side as well. How high can it tip?
Pretty impressive- is yours the biggest they do? So it would load a 2 to. Dumper ok? Has the guts to push a bucket into a pile of 803?Higher than a high tip. Reaches the centre of a transit just about too. You can ‘flick’ the bucket when tipping to get it to the other side as well.
They do a diesel one which is a touch wider. 2t dumper no problem to load. You might need a run up into a pile of crush and I find it works even better if you step off and run it into it whilst pushing a bit.Pretty impressive- is yours the biggest they do? Yeah had 1 few months ago ended up shearing the tipping lever which I think was 8mm dia at bestThis was yesterday
New dumpers are useless this one won't tip out all its load fully even on the flat
Ment to be a 3 ton looks and seams the same size as a 2t dumper
Got to constantly plug and unplug seat belt to make it move, then it beeps the bloody horn twice if you stop then move again
