Ive often thought Id like the Wacker VDS for jobs like that- just so your not sitting on the piss all day! Not so bad if your digging yourself level as you go along doing tracks but remember doing a trenching job a few years ago accross some very steep fields and contorted spine the whole time!
If you’re not digging yourself into the bank on jobs like this you won’t last very long! I put the roll cage back on for this one.

Engcon isn’t really any quicker than ripping and slewing for the straight bits, but it sure makes putting in forks and switchbacks easier!

Just waiting for the keeper to bring his bigger saw back to free the one he’s got stuck 🤣

Do you camber the tracks slightly to run off downhill? I’ve had them wash out when dug flat before now when digging similar (with not enough width for an internal ditch).
