Engcon a godsend today even on the baby machine.

How’s this for a ‘can you just’ job at 16:00? Just put in two trenches, one rising one falling, right next to each other, with things to hit on all sides. Really made me appreciate having a machine with a top mounted boom ram. Oh, and through a layer of compacted hardcore so you can’t just rip them out.

Yes, I had the builder tidying up on a shovel- horrible ground. He made it look a lot neater. I did manage to dig a very rough curve on one trench tho. The BMC scandi profile 9” bucket is much more suited to this size machine than the 300mm Engcon cable bucket. No way I’d have been able to do that with the genuine item- too long for a 1.9t and having the teeth in it really helped. All the guards are off and they are cable tied up roughly as I was measuring up for new. Which Flowfit promptly f***ed up.

Anyway, you should have kept quiet. 🫣🤣Went to replace a banjo dowty on the hitch today as it was leaking when uncoupling. Only it wasn’t the dowty- it was the crimp on the pipe leaking, like I had on the other hitch…Guess who made both sets of pipes….

Fraid so. This one has probably lasted the same amount of time, it's just that the E19 doesn't do nearly as much as the E27. I've got spare set in the re-did ones you made me I think.

Tricky bit of shuttering today. So stupid clients wanting all pool gear run back to plantroom in basement instead of to the pool house. When we put the basement in we asked how many holes they needed answer was 5 for our services and pool equipment would be outside. 2 years later and on to their second pool contractor and we now have 18! Madness.

Got digger going again after @CPS sorted me out with the hydraulic fitting from Sweden that literally no hydraulic place in the UK could get hold off!
Even Engcon themselves couldn’t get one for me!!
Nearly two weeks down for a £11 part is ridiculous! 🤯
