Looks a nice set up, va boom and swampers. Having started with a power tilt and changed to a tilt rotator, the tilt rotator is worth the extra money.
Do you have a blade tray to carry stuff? Again a very worthwhile investment for a duck.

I’d love a rotator but I’m on an hourly rate and won’t get any extra for it 🫤 I’ve been looking at getting a blade tray but I tend to be on the same site for a long time so when I move site I’ll just chuck my buckets on my trailer behind the jeep. It would be handy on site but on an hourly rate I’ll just speed the job up and do myself out of hours

Hooks onto the blade, this one can be picked up by the hitch or forks also. I did price one, £1950 plus vat and carriage from Keen.

Would it be legal on the road over the blade ?

I’m not sure, might need a way to secure it to the blade and maybe need marker boards as well on it.

I used to Road mine with no issues. Unlike a trailer behind a duck there doesn’t seem to be any legislation. Very handy for transporting buckets or other stuff. Any machine I had with a blade would have one. Mogman made this one for me.

I really like the idea of this but my blades on the front , I wonder would it make a difference to the position of the arm while travelling

Not sure. I used to carry the sieve in the first picture that is about 1500kg on the back no problem.
I guess you could try attaching some weights to your blade to see how it rides, but I would guess you would still be able to carry a reasonable amount. You may be able to rest the bottom of the arm in it. Bit of trial and error I guess as I’ve only seen rear mount.

I wasn’t thinking of the weight , more the position of the boom and dipper to keep it low . I normally travel with the bucket curled up and dipper as low as it will go .

I am so jealous of that duck! I’d love something that could be roaded, that looks like such a good balance of power, size and off-road ability which is always going to be limited by wheels.

Chip box of the trailer and onto the defender, fitted straight in and moved on the forks perfectly, no sagging or twisting going to be great when I get the door, lashing eyes etc so I can peel the dibond
Shame I walked full tilt straight into the drawbar of the trailer as I was taking it off. Smacked my shins and dropped onto the mud
Then I scraped my calf on the loaders handbrake
Dad's got this kubota on hire, I'm not keen- don't like small cabs/tight door, being a big lad and doing in and out work!
Typical hire machine dog, but gives the feeling it could do another 3000 hours without much trouble at all shifts the soil well enough though

If you are using the tray to carry your buckets you can probably curl the boom up even more without a bucket on.

I had to go and meet some blokes from the water company the other day trying to do a connection. I had buried the pipes running across the fields to three new properties and they were trying to find them in the driveway where the meters where to be installed. But they couldn't find them. They had given up digging at about 500mm and when I said dig deeper their only response was they certainly won't be being hurried that deep across the road. If the water company won't do it not a surprise that noone else will

What’s ironic about that is they are so strict with new connections these days, last one I did afew weeks ago, 3 different ‘team leaders’ & inspectors all came out and photographed & filmed all my work. To be fair the road connection was about 1.2m deep!
Main man said they rarely pass any jobs first time anymore(mine was passed obviously )
