big job on this morning

Pam tried to clean her teeth with her 'Waterpik' that she uses every couple of weeks ... pressure washer for yer gob

... got it from France originally - couldn't find 'em in the UK (made in Froggy - apparently - I have my doubts)
any way ... turned it on and it emptied its water contents all over the window cill (which is where she uses it, in the bedroom - close to a power socket) ... half a litre of water later .. it pumps like hell and there's this
"Gra - can you have a look at this"
took a while to work out how the hell to get into it, with a couple of concealed torx hiding under a 'ping out' cover
have to say, 'tis cleverly and nicely made/designed ... and for a little pump, doesn't it ever pump at pressure
tiny 2.5mm pipe spigot'd broken off the pump
and took me a while to (a) work out WTF to do with it and then (b) find summat to effect a repair with
lab spec. silicon tube I had sat was a perfect fit .... first try blew it off instantly, despite its
wrestle on fit, so cable tied it onto the pumps barbed second larger spigot, wrapped the placcy tube with a good dose of PTFE to form an enlarged dia. on the pipe and cable tied that for a second try (no 5mm hose clips

) and that cured the blow off ..... however .. the pump works so well the sili tube became a bladder and blew up like a balloon

as it had less resistance than the jet it was pushing water out of -- couldn't believe the size it got to - but no blow off
the sili tube is now re-enforced every couple of mil. by about a dozen cable ties as close together as I can get them and Pam's well happy to have her 'Waterpik' functional again .... serious little jet from it, for washing yer teef wiv .... 'tis
some pump for a few little bits of placcy

...... some very clever injection moulded parts altogether TBH ... very nicely made and cleverly assembled thing
