We are filling in the section between Paington and Bantham. Photos are all from between Dartmouth and Slapton. Stunning scenery compared to North Devon / North East Cornwall but wouldn’t want the roads and the traffic

Thought so. This one looks like Blackpool sands? Grandparents lived in Bantham.

Will get rendered at some point and a fence at top as 6ft tall at its highest

You are spot on.. both my parents come from the area. Mother lived at Street as a kid.

As you say lovely area but summer months we avoid south Devon cos of the grockles. Last time we tried to go to Bantham in summer spent an hour queuing down the lane- gave up and turned round in the end.
Winter cliff walks can be just as nice without the crowds

Neighbour asked my dad to do him a favour put a road into a bit of flat ground, went to see it to show him how to dig it! Like a £20k job and 2 weeks of digging with 8 ton! Told him to have words with neighbour very cheeky to ask as a favour and apparently they all went out Sunday left him to it didn’t even offer him a brew!

Neighbour got some old dead Komatsu with no radiator or cab taken them a while with that.

Phone Camera pics now won’t upload as too big files, print screens to small…

Have to what’s app them to yourself to reduce the file size lol

Another pool,dug with archaeologist overseeing all excavation,service trenches pulled in and loaded out.Then a tight little set of footings and a bit of tidying in the lovely Pewsey Vale. Nice week.

All about the timing, got to Bantham this morning at 7.30 and the carpark was completely empty. We also got there before the car park attendant so avoided the £18 daily charge for a minibus sized vehicle. (We did ask the attendant at 8am and he said if we were there before him then it’s free!)

Few from last week. Had Al Wallace’s excellent team in for a road closure job. Lovely bit of kit, really makes life easy. Bit of bracken control, some more trees, and tested the Blec grader box out on bracken litter which worked wonderfully. Holds about a 13t bucket full, then run it to the bund, place it where you want and compact with the wheels like your on a silage clamp. Very efficient.

Both the Kubota and the Carraro proving their worth this week, and the Multione invaluable as always.

And went to look at the jcb but you all know that already.

Bought these 3 miniveyors for this job at mine and working as I hoped, almost screens the soil fills a dumper faster than can load with micro

Another 3 enclosures this week, some of the nicest we've ever done, went together a dream.
Very handy milwaukee screwdriver arrived while I was away, they do make some brilliant tools. Be a long time before I consider changing my 18v makitas though
Had 3 enquiries which will all lead to jobs (repeat customers who know whats what) in the space of 2 days, and 2 big log orders during the week one of them is nice big dig out for a driveway, think I can just about remember which lever does what on a digger

Tighter than a ducks backside

Couldn’t get back out the same way so had to take out some metal railings and concrete them back in. Should’ve just done that in the first place

Some touch up paint required now
