Fortunately I moved the lorrys and machines a good few hours before and tied everything up that could float away.

The towable bowser and 1 trailer had a little bit of a swim.

It's a rented yard but tring to find a yard to buy is hard work as I'm sure you know. Apart from been Riverside the yard is brilliant in many other respects

aye, i don't envy anyone trying to buy a yard these days
my first in 1980 - third of an acre with a 40 x 20 steel frame on was £54 k ..... beer was 40p/pint..... average hutch - £19k
Then bought stole my last yard in '85 .. acre and 10,000ft2 workshop for £97k ... beer'd gone up a bit by then but IIRC was less than 70p/pint ....average hutch £23k
both figures were very large sums back then

assume by the number of bodies on here this morning that it is similarly pissing down around the country ? ...... been a real wet night ... 'sposed to be much better tomorrow - need to make some space for 6t of steel arriving Tuesday
Sunday looks like a repeat of today but the rest of the week's looking pretty good

Stabilising the chimney...apparently there's internal damage to area around the base as well.
