our lane (which we don't use - we're right at the top and have a better route) has half a dozen down completely blocking the lane ('s an old 'deep' cart/coach track/road - banks're a good 15ft+ high)

sod that ... ''s like bloody Siberia here in the wind ... it's steep, narrow and deep .. you'd have a job to come around in places, even with her short bum and VA boom, it'd be a struggle with anything in her 'mouth' ... would more than fill the lane ... I drive it ONLY when I have to

I’d be out filling the firewood reserves while “helping open the road for the community” 👀😉

It's been a light mist for most of the day, and tomorrow not looking much better, meant to be dry from weekend onwards. Might just have to sack it off till next week, as the last section that was put down has a few spongy spots from all the rain, so once the wacker gets going it's more than likely going to bog down. Could probably run some cement through it, won't help too much with compaction but should set solid

I remember doing a parking area with 6f5 for prince Charles to park on when he was coming to look at something. Off course it shat itself down whilst I was doing it and all following night- had no choice as he was turning up the next day. Had images of him sinking into it as they pulled in but fortunately all fine with only mind indentations.

I’ve done that before, bags of cement spread over the soft spots, it deffo helps! But best way is to dig them off , and keep ontop of everything! Scrape wet stuff off etc and Terram it. Can even put a mid layer of reinforcing membrane onto the stone..

I’ve just dug off an area which was slop ontop but bone dry under, 300ton of our own clean crushed concrete down on membrane and it’s rock solid! Glad it’s done before winter sets in..

Got around 2.2m to build up in total still got another 1.2m to go. Going back to site tomorrow and see what's what, got a small area to sort some drainage on and typically the weather is meant to be very wet Wednesday so all going well, will use up what's left and either get another load for Thursday or sack it off till the new year
