It's been nothing but cold, damp and very grey here for weeks now, travel anywhere local and they're under it, we're in it. Even the dog seems effected and spends a lot of time tightly curled up in his bed. I think if it weren't for him needing exercise I wouldn't go out.

However we drove a few miles further out the other day to find the sun shining, clear blue skies, but also lots of low lying mists everywhere - known as 'cloud inversion'. There were some spectacular sights, but sadly i'd forgotten my phone so below is an old pic.
One woman took to a local village FB page to tell everyone there was a big fire there and to avoid the place

Wondered if you'd have popped through it up there.
We did in the lakes on Friday stunning.

Village FB groups seem to be created solely to bring out the people who were at the back of the queue when Brains were handed out....🙃

A few months back they had a serious rain and flooding out in the middle east it was reported that Reading University had caused this by putting something up in the atmosphere that caused this of course it did not stay in the media for long but the Daily Mail did publish a bit on it.

Reading University denies its 'cloud-seeding' technology caused Dubai's devastating floods - that saw a year and a half's worth of rain drench the desert city and strand airport passengers. Google it to read the full story on this Uni.

If you ask me and alot of other people there is a lot more to what is causing our weather, and i would love to know who is funding it.
Another thing that has not made a lot of main stream news is what was Bill Gates doing in Downing Street a couple of weeks ago, A man that is anti farming coming to see our commi government who also seem to be anti farming!
This has been hushed up, But a reporter who has served a freedom of information act order to find out why he was here has been fobbed of until the new year to give them time to spin an answer, Hopefully he will be back on the case next week to hopefully get the truth out!

I think a lot needs to start being explained as to what is going on and to what and why it is effecting peoples lives and livelyhoods.😡

we seem to be well and truly under the flight paths here .... on a blue sky day it's not unusual to see in excess of 10+ vapour trails in a short space of time :( .. also not unusual to have jets go over some leaving trails whilst others don't - all seem/appear to be at similar altitudes  .. 'busy' days seem to result in a fairly quick accumulation of cloud ... back in '20 when they weren't flying, blue skies lasted weeks ... also when the Icelandic volcano grounded half the world, we had some spectacularly nice blue skies too for a week or two ..... there is a lot more to the 'theories' than they'd like us to think IMHDO :(

It's just weather here in the UK, it's what it does and always has done. Granted it's changing to being milder overall with more extreme events, but it's just weather. There are various pages on it on the government website saying there is no cloud seeding.

The clearer skies when there are no planes around due to extreme events are down to less pollution up there.

of course it is ..... 's why the Gov. consider it necessary to publish refuting contrails/cloud seeding/ etc.

Yes ok, well I'll park that one right there. Moving swiftly on......

My screenshotting button seems to have broken so no visuals, but I can see yellow warnings for wind on NYE, then a bit of snow the following day. Nothing major though.

Aircraft fly at different "flight levels" depending on their direction of travel.
Flight levels are set at 1000ft intervals to maintain a safe vertical separation.
Mostly, planes heading from North round to South (0~180 deg) fly odd flight levels while planes flying South round to North (180~360 deg) fly even flight levels.
At (say) 35000ft vs 37000ft, you'd be doing well to pick the difference.

I don't think it was cloud seeding, which they are open about doing here in Dubai Graham. That was a regional storm it wasn't just dubai flash floods in Oman killed a few people all at the same time. I was here when it happened never seen rain like it.

Wasn't the cloud seeding in an adjacent country same as the Spanish floods seeded in Morocco and a day or so later flash floods in Spain
