Similar weather up here too, touch of the white stuff, -4 last night, still -3 now, but looking like another sunny day once it burns the low cloud off. No wind though, so you can feel it and it makes it bearable working outside.
Strange, but apparently the roads were slippery yesterday evening here too she said. Odd, because this weather was well forecasted, but they haven't gritted enough.
I've found a new source for bulk manure locally so went on Sunday and he plopped a ton or so on my trailer with his telehandler. Mixed it with some other ingredients yesterday and set a new heap up for some good compost in the future. The soil here is terrible so I need a lot.
The sun was getting low as I dragged an old sopping wet horse blanket (left by previous owners) over to cover it with.
A few minutes later I found some more ingredients I'd forgotten, so went back to find the cover was now as stiff as a board and could be stood up by the wall
Warm water for the windscreen, a few seconds of that and we're off. Both inside and out defrosted with no risk of it re-freezing either. It's a myth they crack, been doing it since I got my driving licence.
