Today and yesterday been good nice and dry although had a fair amount of rain through night. Forecast for tomorrow is coming in wet and windy through the morning so planning a good start as I've half a day of florida cab to finish a job off.

How the hell the weather people can say we had 10mm last night is beyond me ??:confused::confused:

fish pond's overflowing, as usual in this sort of weather and field ditch beside the drive brim full ..... 'twas deffo wet last night ... apart from the previous few days monsoon style downpours

and on the subject of weather, was watching this earlier ...... some scary sh*t on there :eek:

I remember looking into rainfall figures last year and sure they are taken at a certain time of day everyday

Yeah proper autumn shite here now. Saturated ground. Squally thundery showers. Last night was unreal. Lay in bed thinking the windows were going to blow in. Roll on May.

And they'll all be filled always have and always will👍
Up here and to the West yes, but whether they will in some of the Southern counties is debatable - they didn't last Winter as it was too dry down there. They don't even know if or when their hosepipe bans will be lifted.
There was a drought in the 90s when they were tankering water from Cumbria down to Yorks to keep us going. Since then they linked a lot of the Northern reservoirs by pipe, but I don't think that network links to the South East which it should.

Anyhow this eve the temps have halved up here, I could see my breath earlier and it's currently showing 5c out there.
Last night the old house got a right old bashing from wind and rain and it doesn't leak anymore, I can't say i'm missing the internal water features 😅
The bits of field drainage i've done are working well, it's a pleasure to walk around and see water flowing out of pipes rather than overland and then getting stuck in it.
