How the hell the weather people can say we had 10mm last night is beyond me ??
fish pond's overflowing, as usual in this sort of weather and field ditch beside the drive brim full..... 'twas deffo wet last night ... apart from the previous few days monsoon style downpours
and on the subject of weather, was watching this earlier ...... some scary sh*t on there
Same here back on job today after working away, gone to a bogYeah proper autumn shite here now. Saturated ground. Squally thundery showers. Last night was unreal. Lay in bed thinking the windows were going to blow in. Roll on May.
still doesn't explain how (for instance) a forecast (or stated) 10mm of rain in a 24hr period can be so far out - like 500% sometimesI remember looking into rainfall figures last year and sure they are taken at a certain time of day everyday
aye - was a wild night here too ... hell of a bump about 3 am .... no idea WTF it was this morning ... can't see what would've made such a noise ------ unless it's now 3 fields awayYeah proper autumn shite here now. Saturated ground. Squally thundery showers. Last night was unreal. Lay in bed thinking the windows were going to blow in. Roll on May.
Sure it was like 9am everyday for 30 minutes or something like thatstill doesn't explain how (for instance) a forecast (or stated) 10mm of rain in a 24hr period can be so far out - like 500% sometimes![]()
Yeah both down here are at 14%Don't complain, there are a lot of empty reservoirs to fill!
Up here and to the West yes, but whether they will in some of the Southern counties is debatable - they didn't last Winter as it was too dry down there. They don't even know if or when their hosepipe bans will be lifted. And they'll all be filled always have and always will![]()
