was some bit pissy wet last night and still hammering it down ... gonna be some flooding round here by the end of the week - glad we're elevated - if they're to be believed it's gonna be Saturday, 'fore we see the yella fing again - for the day - next week looks equally sh1t

currently have a small river running down our lawn .... the various small ponds of standing water have all joined forces ......... and it continues to persist it down
have changed our water filters twice in the last two weeks .. usually last a couple of months - need doing again now after yesterday's incessant rain has stirred up the spring ... and just to take the p*ss .. the hills're white

we had one hell of a single crash yesterday afternoon, followed by a monsoon downpour .. just had another, but not so spectacularly loud - equally monsoon downpour though ... thunder in this temperature seems weird - 's bloody cold out today

If they start banging on about hose pipe bans this summer they can jog on. Theyre building s**t loads of houses everywhere but the last reservoir round here in was in the early 90s

Of course there won't be a hosepipe ban this summer..........not at least 'till the management have received their bonuses for exceptional performance

It must be challenging keeping enough water in the pipes and enough sewage out of them

If it's anything like last time the bonuses will be less formal and certainly not publicly aired.
It's unbelievable that the old water authorities had to be nationalised in order to be privatised so that they could borrow money for investment and we end up with a broken system. I wonder if the experiment will work any better second time round

Today has been forecast dry for the last 5 days. Up early and off to screwfix to get 10 litres of white spirt. Went to yard to get the hose and spray gun. Forgot half of it so had to turn around half way to go back and get rest. Currently sat in van waiting for heavy rain to stop. Choice between block laying in the rain or painting the rain.. or going home and painting the inside of the garage. Bastard weather.
