A bloody(literally) strep throat of all things.
Couldn’t eat and had to force water down, antibiotics have really kicked in now , improving by the hour. Never had multiple naps in one day before lol
nasty ... had a double quinsy in my early 20,s .... very painful and like you, could barely swallow -- apparently that is pretty rare too .... seem to attract the rare tish :rolleyes:

Wife was in hospital with Quincy 6 months ago, very rare nowadays… they sorted her out in 24hrs, didn’t look pleasant at all!

This is just shite. Beyond shite even.

I'm lucky to have plenty to do in the workshop, the sawmill, etc, plus other indoor type jobs. But a lot of our current work is both time (bird nesting) and weather sensitive (cut and collect, can't make mess on public access sites etc).

Did a week for my mate with the forestry business last week, on site welding, concreting etc. He's got probably £2m of kit parked up, all on finance. I'd be suicidal.

At least I picked a good time to change the E27 over and finally sort out the tilty, etc.

Forecast across here is dry for next week thank feck .... its been a long haul this back end.

been fair today, but looks to be a very wet night Tuesday though ... lashed it down here last night

hooted down again last night ,some hefty showers today,wouldnt want to get the digger out for a week or 2 ,tracking dumper would make a mess pretty quick
