Had to go and rod a section of the land drain today. Not sure what was stopping it but think its where I latched onto the old 3" perf pipe a couple of years ago. Plans changed and that little section of old pipe is now draining a lot of the site. I have done a lot of work further up the line so it might have been some sort of debris. BT Duct Rods cleared it, then little jetter on the petrol washer up and down for good measure. My DIY chamber thats joining 2 sections is running very well. Pipe is about half full and flowing swiftly. I would guess near 100lpm going through that chamber at the moment. I thought it would just be a little trickling land drain, if I had known it would be working so hard I would have done the job properly

is that a poly box in the bottom ?
it's amazing just how much flow a land drain produces .... I can vouch for that here !!

It’s a heavy plastic tub I fished out of a skip in the midlands somewhere back in the summer of 2000. It’s had various jobs over the years but this is its final resting place 🤣

Got another half day onsite .
Moved mothers stuff out of container and got my plant trailer back IN the container where it belongs for the first time in 12 months.
Borrowed the Kubota from up the road. Rehomed a LOT of frogspawn then cleaned out between my columns and made a temp ditch to take the water away.
I can now get the the columns washed out and grouted and the next load of concrete panels sited.
Rescued the panel I had to abandon when the forklift got stuck. It’s not got any dryer since. Tractor sunk trying as well. Managed to use Kub to drag it out to hard ground, then spent an hour smearing clay around to make it flat again , followed by another hour washing the clay off.
Wash bay is on the list of things to do one day.
Loaded digger. Then I got van stuck on track and took 10k of miles off my clutch trying to sell rescue before I had to go cap in hand to the neighbours (dad) to pull me out with tractor.
Dropped the digger back up at the ex in laws where it’s next to be used, then pretty much raped the last of my clutch getting the trailer up their track.
Oh for a 4WD van with low box and Auto 🫤
Couple hours later and the van still stinks of clutch.

Best advert for a pickup with AT tyres I've seen for a while 😊

You'll have fun getting that handbrake off the trailer!

Taking the wife out for a romantic trip into Cornwall to collect a load of 6” chambers and risers and pipework.
Had to put the trailer back together and had forgotten what a pig of a job it was. Will take it back to the yard to steam clean the tarp as it’s filthy.

Fish and chips on the way home 🤣

And back again for a day. Last couple weeks my spare time has been spent installing a wheel chair lift for a family member. Bit different :)
Piss awful weather . Got the trailer emptied and a chance to check over the haul of drainage stuff I bought a couple weeks ago . Really only went for the 6” chambers and 500mm risers , so pleased with the rest of the stuff that got thrown in. I am sure I will be able to make use of most of it at some point . Just need to find a tidy way of storing it.
Finally found a good use for the galvanised pallet stillage I’ve had knocking about for nearly 10 years. Perfect for storing all the ramps and sides and mesh kit from the 16ft Trailer :)

There’s a 3m length of very thick blue MDPE? Pipe in the pile. Not sure what I will do with that? Bit short for a culvert.

Very neat 👍
Amazing how much room stuff like that takes up if you don't have a proper storage idea🤦🏻
I bought a stillage for heras fencing at auction a few years ago, not knowing what it was but it looked 'handy'. Never used it but I guarantee the day after I sell it I'll think of use for it 😅 😄

Picked this 3pt leveller up from near Crediton this morning. Been keeping my eye out for about 18 months, but most are too lightweight/too far or too dear. This one fairly heavy so will be interesting to see how it works. Never used one . Hopefully will hep to keep the stone tracks and yards a little under control .
Fished my Grandads welding bench out of the loft . It’s very far from beautiful, but has sentimental value as he made it when they first moved here in 1982, and I learnt to weld on it about 40 years ago when I was very small. He’s been dead nearly 30 years ☹️.
Needs a wash and a spruce up, and the vice mounting on.
Made up a load of forms for the grouting.
Nice to see some sunshine.

Dad has a dusty mezzanine that shares the feed mill. We call it the loft 🤣
Also up there somewhere is the pillar drill my grandad made from scratch. 4 forward gears and one reverse ! @V8Druid will be impressed and horrified when I find the photos of that 🤣
my old man fitted IIRC an A35 gearbox to a Manchester Rapidor drive line once to give him some variations in speed -- they ran pretty quick as std -- doubt he ever needed to use the reverse though :giggle:

Up early to wait for delivery of a less s**t scissor lift. Chap was 45 minutes late and said he had experienced an emotional journey and needed to use low range on the Landrover a couple of times .

Got the batteries charged up at HQ and then over to the shed briefly to drag red scissor lift out as trying to flog it.
All lovely till I blew a hose when trial lifting. 🤦
Will try and get that sorted tomorrow as someone allegedly coming on Tuesday.
