do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
The older type bradley hitches where the safety clip went around the rear of the handle, had a measurement for the gap between the lug and the slot in the safety clip that indicated wear (somewhere).
View attachment 23948
what wears most is the heel in the socket that comes down behind the ball when the handle's dropped and attached
at one time when everything was going metric, 2" couplings were common on older trailers .... combine wear with a 50mm ball, 0.8mm smaller than 2" and there was quite a few went AWOL!!
and try getting a 50mm coupling on a 2" ball :ROFLMAO::mad: .....'s why the balls all have 50mm stamped in the flat on the tops ... there was once a 2" stamp too

's also why that ball should be well greased, to catch yer troos on, if you forget to put the nicely greased cap back on .......
to prevent wear, by lube brick ay shun :giggle::giggle: of the moving parts ;)(y)

The correct trailer hitching procedure for the trailer test is to couple the trailer then wind the jockey wheel back down until it lifts the back of the vehicle. If you don't do this every time you should at least do it every now and again just to check and make sure everything is secure as it will show any movement in the tow bar or even a knackered chassis on trailer or tow motor

They're all pretty sympathetic to him on comments. Not being funny but if you read MIs trusses shouldn't be lifted like this any way. It happens all the time

Damn ped barriers all over the spot. If he had stabbed them under the rafters and over the chords he would've got on a lot better I'd never thought about carrying trusses on the legs seemed to stop them swinging quite well 😂😂

He didn’t have a clue, but would you want to work with those t++++ers just laughing and filming?
Are trusses even made to be picked up like that? Looks like it would put strain on the joints. I thought you were supposed to sling them.
Ideally lift them from where the chords meet the rafters but you have to remember that a truss like that will weigh less than 100kg and the forks are picking up each one individually. It's when you have to flip the packs that arrive upside down that your most likely to damage them.

I'd not want to work with that lot but the way none of them are helping it wouldn't surprise me if he isn't a miserable pita

Exactly my thoughts - site full of arseholes. The guy filming and his mates all need a good slap as far as I’m concerned - what a poisonous bunch of dickheads. Bloke on the telehandler is obviously out of his depth but why film/bully him like that? Stop him/help him/get it done right surely, why stand back hoping for the worst?

You don't know what's happened before the filming starts.
It wouldn't surprise me if words have been had the the blokes have stepped back and let him create his own destiny. There must be a reason for everyone to be filming before anything has happened.

True, but they are still dickheads letting that run its course, filming it and uploading it for the world to see. Someone should have stopped it.
