Well done the police give yourselves a pat on the back. The sad part and the bit that f**ks me off about these posts is they put them online as if they are a deterrent to anyone else thinking of not bothering with any licence insurance roadworthiness etc. If there was a proper deterrent there wouldn't be any such vehicles/drivers on the road to begin with. Bet the driver of that was back on the road same day in something just as bad.No surprise, plenty of do as you likeys up there
The picture of the van from behind, it was asking for a pull!No surprise, plenty of do as you likeys up there

Following the rules and learning from the last accident under similar conditions would have saved someone "life changing" injuries.
Having done my PTS I cant believe that the likes of this is even possible in this day and age, the mewp should have a banksman, (controller) on the ground , as should the crane/360/duck.Following the rules and learning from the last accident under similar conditions would have saved someone "life changing" injuries.
I know I moan about health and safety when I think it is stupid, but keeping safe distances and taking breaks seems pretty sensible to me. I hope they prosecute the idiot.
Even dumpers are kneeling...

Quite often machine controllers go for the job because it's a reasonably well paid, for doing very little, often see them riding in vehicles, allowed, asleep, can't say I've ever seen machines 100m apart traveling,,bloke operating crane hadn't adhered to NR rules re rest, but then I've been often booked, back to back shifts, including main contractors, not in the least suprised after 20+ years on rail job, surprisingly dredging, with much less paperwork, management seems much safer to me, having said that back on rail job WednesdayHaving done my PTS I cant believe that the likes of this is even possible in this day and age, the mewp should have a banksman, (controller) on the ground , as should the crane/360/duck.
