I think on the high spec Kubota's you can latch the aux with a button on the front of the joystick.

Finally got finished fitting the thumb on the TB125 today- absolutely pleased as punch with it. I hardly notice it on there when doing normal digging operations but just makes things so much more efficient having it there- I can pick up all sorts of things that the fixed grapple I had previously wouldn’t have managed. Generally operation is smooth, shutting it back against the dipper is a bit hasty as discussed above but in general operation it’s fine as only needs a blip to release whatever I’ve grabbed, and If I fold it home when I’m tracking about it’s fine

Works well with the small digging, some photos messing about on the farm dump. Some of you might think I’m a caveman, but works well for me over dedicated grab.

Yes. Having sat in it it's got to be one of the best examples of a 100 series going.
Had the conversation last night...... This was the outcome/opinion of a much larger contractor than me regarding buying new machines.... " Oh yes, big bills but that’s what the market wants. But following the wants of them is a one way ticket to f**k all. A good tidy older machine is the way to make ££££s"
So it's settled what's happening to my 100 series.....

Yeah it’s 13 years old and done 2800hrs- I was lucky enough to buy it 3.5 years ago when it had spent the previous 10 years of its life in a shed clocking up a mere 1000hrs- immaculate. was just in the right place at the right time.
All seems rather glossy compared to the absolute shite that’s coming up for sale these days at the money I paid for it.

Yeah hold on to it I reckon Rory- it’s probably going to be worth way more to you than what you’ll get to it and unlikely to drop much in value.
I’m taking your advice and holding onto the TB125, concentrate my efforts on upgrading the 216 to something more appropriate. Might simply upgrade to the 219 or some other similar type machine- quite likening the look of the Wacker ET20.

Take a very serious look at the JCB. Have a Demo side by side with the 219 if you can... then if you like it bludgeon JCB into agreeing to a 5 year warranty on paint, electrics and main components you might be on to a winner.

It’s a pain really because for the most part 2 ton size is too small to be useful for me. I just have on or two customers where I get narrow access work on the footpaths so feel the need to keep one in the armoury plus easy towing to the odd little job here and there.

then buy a nice 3.5t tipper for towing? @Danny has a nice Iveco for sale.
