More woes around hydraulics, thumb etc

I’m 98% sure il never run a tilt rotator- just doesn’t suit my work- or my style! But powertilt could be a possibility again. Anyway the hi spec is basically an extra £2.5k and one should be available in February. I must admit I can probably live with one set of auxs for now, but it being on a foot pedal doesn’t seem like much of a progression!

Can I lease hire the 125 🤣🤣🤣
As long as you don’t scratch it 😂 here she is, not bad for a 2007 machine, original paint mostly- just the odd touch up here and there.

2nd doobins comment can’t beat 2 services wish I’d got mine sorted properly and not rushed it
I don't know if you said who your Kubota dealer was but most of them can fit a second line for a price (last time I asked it was £1000 to £1500), but in any event as long as your single service is pilot operated (which that one should be) then you can run a tilty off that (and get extra services below). I appreciate that you may not need one, but I woldn't fret about it not being ready - it is, you just need the right control system.:geek:

Thanks for all your help, a slight spanner has been thrown in the works as local dealer has a Kubota KX027-4 in stock all ready to go with a thumb that they’d fit without affecting warranty or anything, it’s not twin line auxiliaries though, but in all honesty I don’t see myself ever running a tilty.
It’s The basic version not the hi spec one- but then it has to be remembered that I’m a pretty basic person and anything complicated is just lost on me 😂
Get it get it. Ports etc are fkked up already it'll be fun getting new kit in the next few months I reckon...

At least you know for next time- what’s wrong with yours then?
Wish I’d get prop controls on the other joystick for a grab / breaker work instead of keeping my foot down . I think it’s more annoying when you see what else is out there but then hindsight is the best tool in the box . I’d promise not to scratch the 125 it’s never me who scratches them 🤣

Aux on a foot pedal is prehistoric mate. I would never change to a new machine without it on rollers on the joystick.

Yeah, running a post knocker hammer is a nightmare on a pedal too. The salesman said it was a pedal but I’m starting to think he was mistaken as I’ve seen a few kx027s online that arnt hi spec but the control is one proportional joystick... anyone know about this @Lancs Lad?

Should still be able to run a breaker via pedal though imo, it's ok for a short time but having to hold a button down is murder on ur thumb all day.

Lots of standard spec KX027 are on pedal still I think - I thought it was hi spec or pedal, where have you seen them with aux on the stick ?

Well it's murder on your ankles/knees the other way! And joint damage will really f**k you up long term. I suffer in the knees after half a day using the E10 aux, it's such an awkward angle.

My E27 has a lock button which is nice when using flail etc. Hoping the E19 will come with one also

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Don’t say that, I’m banking on you to snap up a bargain!

variable pump the Tak, there is pressure relief valve next to the aux hose, but too scared to go meddling with it.
stick a clock on it and go for it ... only a nut and an allen key

Yeah your right, just looked at brochure. 1st aux is pedal, 2nd lines are joystick, damn. Doobins right, I’m not spending £26k to still have a pedal.

There is the yanmar sv26, that’s proportional on joystick. But the offset boom is ridiculous. Only swings 45deg to the left.

Yep thats pretty poor when you look at standard spec of some others, my 8t is single prop roller and for the tilt bucket its great.... wouldnt like to go to a pedal, not sure about twin prop rollers on a high spec, maybe single prop roller is good enough and if you go tilty route you might as well go full fat control system.

You might say being on a pedal is poor (and I'm not gonna disagree) but as far as a hire company is concerned it has an aux line. Doesn't matter how it's operated if the machine is for someone else too sit on and an extra 2.5k prices it too high and into owner op bracket.

Just to note, the standard spec on the petal is linkage operated and not servo... a stiffer pedal in my opinion. It also can't be upgraded to proportional. Also not chance of fitting a tiltrotator down the line..... if you ever did go that way.

The hi spec is a great machine, the low flow lines have a decent flow meaning you can have a power tilt etc and still have the hammer lines to run a hammer flail etc.

At 26k it’s already priced too high- the yanmar is around 24k and has a proportional roller.

They can likely sell them ok though or they'd be cheaper. A hire firm buying 10 probably won't be paying 26k mind.

But long term it's really bad on thumb joints
There has been quite a lot of Research on forestry harvesters and there operators due to the crippling arthritis many of them develop
With progress being made into different control options using electronic signals in human muscles and voice control
And I'm sure give it twenty years tilty operators will be in the same position
