very suprised to hear it ate through concrete since its ph neutral and non toxic.I’d be quite interested to see the source for this. We ran tests with 100% bio and it was very nasty stuff. After a spillage it lifted the epoxy floor coating in the test cell and ate into the concrete. Doubt it would do a bird any good.
if the base oil feedstock is really bad quality you can make using sulphuric acid as a catalyst instead of a base catalysed method but the problem is that you dont get a very good conversion from acid catalysis so you then have to do the base process after the acid pathway.
If they just did the acid pathway and didn't even wash the fuel then thats the only way that this could happen.
But this fuel would never meet or even come close to EN14214 which is the biodiesel standard. where did you get it from?
