Hi Antony,

Thank you for your message.

Yes, simply use the enter planttalk in the coupon code box of the checkout to get the 5% discount.

Remember to also add the RC601 remote control to the basket if you need to do gradients or slopes (dual grade) as you cannot do it without it. However, it can be something that is purchased at a future point as it is not paired to the laser.

Hope this helps.

Hi Mark, I’m looking for a laser for indoor electrical work if it has the ability to leave two 360 lines 90 degree apart e.g finding the center of a room ceiling.
Also be used for occasional outdoor use max 20m distance for foundation levels.
Do you have anything suitable

Hi,

Yes, a couple of options for you...

Please look at beam diagrams 7 and 8:

https://www.laser-level.co.uk/beam-diagrams.html

The links below each picture link to products which produce that beam diagram.

So the models you need to look at will be Fukuda FLE-444R, Spectra LT56, Fukuda FLE-444G, Spectra LT58G.

The two Fukuda lasers have a detector as standard and so can work outside out of the box.

The Spectra LT56 has the option to add a detector to the order but is not included as standard.

The LT58G currently has no option to work outside but a detector is launching late August which it will work with.

Top tip: If you plan to work outside, long range or in bright conditions, you will always need to use a laser detector with your laser level.
This applies to all makes and models and for both red & green lasers.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, looks the Spectra LT58G should work so. Can it be recalibrated if required outside the warranty period. I understand the dewalt equivalent can’t be recalibrated while the hilti version can be but obviously it’s very pricy.

Unlike the Spectra rotary versions, the guidance from Spectra on the LT56 & LT58G is that outside of the warranty period it cannot be calibrated.
If it goes out of calibration during its 3-year warranty and it is not as a result of an impact, negligence, misuse etc then it is replaced for free.

The Fukuda FLE-444G (which uses stepper motors, not a pendulum system) can, however, be calibrated both mechanically and electronically either during or outside of warranty. Although obviously within certain parameters.

Hi Tony,
I have just checked through the orders and saw one was from you. My staff in the office have a standing instruction to apply the discount retrospectively and refund the difference if a forum member doesn’t put the code in. So don’t worry.
In your first message you mentioned purchasing the CR700 but in your order and your last message you have got the CR600.
It is not a problem for us as both are in stock- just want to make sure we supply what you want. If you could just let me know.....

Thanks again

Hi Tony,
Don’t worry, I have just looked at your order again. Shouldn’t just skim read.
The package you have actually bought is the best of both worlds as you will have two detectors available for use. The HL450 with mm/inch on the staff and the CR600 on the plant.
That is actually more versatile than just one CR700 (however good it is).
So not to worry, we will get that checked and calibrated today and dispatched by DPD tonight.

Thanks again

My CR600 has gone silent. It wont even beep when i turn it on. The sound settings do nothing. I have had it about 3 years.
Any body else had problems. Can they be repaired?

Hi,

It is unusual for the sounder to fail on the CR600. They are usually rock solid. They come with a 3 year warranty.

So, if you are a customer or ours and the CR600 carries our “supplies by laser levels online” sticker please DM me you details and I will be able to advise the best course of action.

If the CR600 was not supplied by us you would need to contact the supplying dealer.

if it is shagged have a look at the Leica rod eye 160. It's a standard receiver but also tells you how many mm you are above/below grade.

Unless the kit was bought second hand it would be unusual for a customer to have a CR600 and only have it in the staff mounting configuration. They would usually also be using it mounted on plant which the Leica rod eye 160 would not be suitable for.

If it does transpire that the CR600 cannot be repaired and needs replacing and you are looking for a detector that shows a mm / inch scale to see the elevation or drop display on the detector. e.g 10mm - 8mm - 5mm - 2mm - LEVEL, as well as being able to mount it on plant then the newer Spectra CR700 is the best option:

https://www.laser-level.co.uk/produ...pectra-precision-cr700-magnetic-detector.html

Obviously the mm / inch scale can only be seen/used when mounted on a staff - not from the cab unless you have an optional HL760 as a relay/repeater.

Hope this helps.
