Does anybody on here believe in Net Zero and humans caused Climate Change

I can understand that we have accelerated climate change. I don't think in the grand scheme of things it matters. The earth will survive as will some animals. And I think at the end of the day the extinction of the human race is not a bad thing.
Net zero on the other is beyond impossible. And anyone that thinks it's possible really deserves to be in the first phase of extinction.

Climate change- Not sure, I'm not sure anyone really knows for sure?
Habitat destruction- most definitely
Contaminating our environment- most definitely.
Effectiveness of the measures taken by successive government to combat any of the above- largely pointless and as above a very convenient source of taxation.

Fook no it’s all about tax😡
Bang on Mog 👌🏼

I've given up even trying to make any sense of it. The numbers are out there for any fool to do the math.
My simple thought process is that apart moral high ground and "do as we say in the UK" any efforts we try and kid ourselves we are saving the planet on this damp little island is pissing in the wind compared to china etc. meanwhile they take the piss and continue to churn out the stuff we need but are to scared to make in case we end the world.

Talk about trying to invent expensive solutions to problems that don't exist.
The lads on pluto and Venus must be pissing their sides watching us 🤣

I agree. The bs is unbelievable people are given facts yet still believe the msm. I'm all for living in a cleaner world but not by fleecing us every which way. Better infrastructure would help a great deal also stop flooding the country with people

I really can't understand how people are blind to how shallow the governments rules are.
Why are all the politicians driving cars if they so strongly believe in net zero.
Absolutely no excuse.
Same as why is there so little investment in public transport.
It's a bit like me telling my kids they won't like chocolate hob nobs as they are spicy.
It's a load of bollox so I don't have to share.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
The amount of lay-bys I’ve passed with council or subs emptying hotboxes into 🤬 Fill the damn potholes you’re being paid to fill. No edge seal used on lots of the repairs so they get to redo it a couple of weeks later!

" Local roads branded 'national embarrassment' "

" Over a billion pounds a year goes to local authorities as part of the government’s funding to maintain local roads – but the PAC’s inquiry found that the DfT neither knows exactly how local authorities spend its funding as it is not ring-fenced, "

our 'lane' ( a very busy access way to a lot of properties and two villages) is in a worse state now, than it was before they slung some black top in the holes and patted it down with the back of a shovel .. some are 4" deep - wheel breakers -- everywhere you go the roads are ****ing dire - even the main trunk roads are horrendous and have to weave around the holes to avoid them

Same up here . On Tuesday I saw a really deep suspension breaking pot hole in the road in a local village where I had to do a few runs back and fore for the day . On my second run I saw the local highland council 3 man squad filling the pot hole with hot tar , no roller or whacker in site and no jointing strips at all . No cutting done to square the hole up and from what I could see feck all loose stuff taken out of it as they had a pick up with hot box so no room for spoil. About 5 hours later on my last run the tar had started breaking up and the hole was surrounded by small tarry stones . It’ll not last a week . They have all the kit to do it right so why is no one checking up on what they are doing 🤬
