I’m waiting for Starmer and his clown show to get one thing right. Even the Tories weren’t this incompetent. No wonder Kamala lost, she was a former public prosecutor - the yanks took one look at how we’re getting on with our former public prosecutor and thought “No Way”.

Must have had special offer on 2nd March
As I understand it any aircraft approach into UK airspace is given a warning etc then intercepted and eventually shot down if no response etc.

So how hard would a similar response be at sea? Any legit craft will be on maritime VHF etc . If not intercept...turn round or face the consequences? It's an invasion FFS.

My rough calcs make it the same amount that have come across since 2020 as landed on DDay.

Couldn't agree more, course it's an invasion, 592 in one day coming through illegally. They're inflatables- shoot a few boats few hundreds meters across and let them swim back to France- message would t soon get accross. I saw a documentary (a BBC one too) where the immigrants were battering away french police with iron bars- lovely just the sort we want in this country.

like I said ... couple of fast patrol boats running up/down the French coast creating enormous wakes a few hundred yards out and sink the ****ers ... if the frogs don't like it then let them stop the ****s even leaving the shore ..... packs of dawgs running the beaches'd make 'em think

" Local roads branded 'national embarrassment' "

" Over a billion pounds a year goes to local authorities as part of the government’s funding to maintain local roads – but the PAC’s inquiry found that the DfT neither knows exactly how local authorities spend its funding as it is not ring-fenced, "

our 'lane' ( a very busy access way to a lot of properties and two villages) is in a worse state now, than it was before they slung some black top in the holes and patted it down with the back of a shovel .. some are 4" deep - wheel breakers -- everywhere you go the roads are ****ing dire - even the main trunk roads are horrendous and have to weave around the holes to avoid them
Same up here . On Tuesday I saw a really deep suspension breaking pot hole in the road in a local village where I had to do a few runs back and fore for the day . On my second run I saw the local highland council 3 man squad filling the pot hole with hot tar , no roller or whacker in site and no jointing strips at all . No cutting done to square the hole up and from what I could see feck all loose stuff taken out of it as they had a pick up with hot box so no room for spoil. About 5 hours later on my last run the tar had started breaking up and the hole was surrounded by small tarry stones . It’ll not last a week . They have all the kit to do it right so why is no one checking up on what they are doing 🤬

" The backlog of carriageway repairs in England and Wales has reached a record high of almost £17bn as roads only get resurfaced, on average, once every 93 years. ......
  • £16.81bn is now reported to be required, as a one-off, for local authorities to bring the network up to their ‘ideal’ conditions. A year ago the backlog was put at £16.3bn.
  • 24,400 miles (12%) of the network are likely to need some form of maintenance in the next 12 months.
  • Just 1.5% of the local road network was resurfaced in the last year.
  • Roads are only resurfaced, on average, once every 93 years.
  • 1.9 million potholes have been filled at a cost of £137.4 million. "

Send out the right signals about what awaits is the best way to stop them going over to England, shooting their boats isn't going to happen is it.
